Re: Worth repairing? No quote given for labour, estimate?

Drop links and dampers are a simple DIY if you're into that thing. The subframe welding may be where things start to add up, unfairly in my opinion. I have in excess of 10 years welding experience in many backgrounds and would be happy to advise you if you can send me some photos. Alternatively if y...

Considering Buying Another MR2. Rev & V6 Advice Needed.

I am hoping that this is posted in the correct section. I have owned a few Mr2s over the year and sold my last one due to a house purchase. I have owned an array of cars since I last had my MR2 but I would be very interested in getting back into another before prices go through the roof. This is whe...

Re: Paint and ideas

Is that midnight purple? I have never seen the blue pearl in it before :-k Love the wheels on the Skyline :thumleft: Yeah LV4 I suggested is also a GTR colour. There is LV4 and LV3 one came on the 33 the other came on the 34. I looked at LV4 but at £320 a liter from Nissan I wasn't financially able...

Re: Paint and ideas

I enjoy your number plate. I would have loved to have done mine this colour. Seriously love this colour. http://ll.speedhunters.com/u/f/eagames/NFS/speedhunters.com/Images/11%20Charles/Aug/Readers/Serge/2.jpg How ever I don't think brown and blue would work so well! Bayside blue or LV4 both from the...

Re: Who else is this irrational?

The car i have driven the most over the last 3 years has been my MR2, I have driven a few other cars but not a lot, mostly vans and a van doesnt compare to a MR2

It seems to be a buyers market for the MR2, I think I might flog mine and get another!

Re: What engine do I have?

I guess that would make sense! I will have to check the engine numbers! Could be the same engine it was produced with for all and a bill for another car (there is no reg number on the bill or owners name)

Thanks again !

Re: What engine do I have?

Thanks for that!

Visually it would appear that I have a Rev1/2 engine.

Seems strange that I have a bill for the fitting of a 1995 65K engine though!

Thanks again

What engine do I have?

I am in need of some help from some more knowledgeable members here. I have a 1989 Rev1 MK2 MR2 fitted with a 3SGE. It was mentioned to me when i bought the bike that the engine was replaced at some point but he could not find where he put the bill for this so could not prove it. Anyway 3 years afte...

Re: How low before "issues" ...

You should not have any problems at -40.

I have my JIC coilovers on their lowest setting and speedbumps have never been a problem :thumleft:

Pot holes and steep driveways how ever are a totally different story!

Rev1 T-bar Import - Spares or repair

I bought this car from a member on the OC back in 2008, I used the car for a year over 2009 and just before the MOT expired the car was parked up and not used. I constantly told myself i would get round to doing some work on it, I ideally wanted to fit a 3SGTE in there but it never happened. The car...

Red MR2's what years, what revs and what codes

Quite a simple one here really. After some help here in diagnosing the colour on my engine lid. The engine lid i have is from a Rev2 turbo but has been fitted to my Red Rev1 and they are quite clearly a different shade of red. If my engine lid is from a Rev2 is it fair to assume it is the 3E5? Is th...

Pete is it? (could be well wrong there though!)

I used to see your car about a lot a while back but haven't seen it so much recently. Ryan used to tell me about it a lot.

Car is looking awesome, super clean and fresh! Vent mods are brilliant!

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Round 3 of the windscreen cowl mod

Interesting this! I am totally addicted to carbon at the moment and am itching to have a go at making my own stuff. Here have you skinned the original scuttle? Or did you cast the original and then make a replacement Carbon fiber item? I have been considering the Carbon mods skinning kit but at £50 ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Good seats to replace stock with??

I had a pair of Bride Brix's loved them so much but sold them last year and have regretted it ever since. I have replaced them with some spare seats i had kicking about in the garage. They are not as nice as the brides were but they will do. They are out of a old S2 RST. they are super comfortable, ...

[Mk2] [Generic] Kaminari and Areowave front lips/splitters

After a few pointers here. I wanted to go back to a standard front bumper a few months back and consider the options of using a aftermarket lower splitter or lip. I am really really set on getting a Kaminari front splitter but i can not seem to find any for sale in the UK pretty much anywhere! Beari...

[Mk2] [Generic] Alarm fitting, remote central locking questions

After a bit of help here. My two seemed to at one point have remote central locking and a Falcon alarm fitted to it at some point but it has since been removed. When it was removed so was the remote central locking. I am considering fitting a new alarm and with this refit the remote central locking....

Really like this man! The arches seem to have been modified well around your spats and skirts!

Are those new lips which have been fitted to the wheels? like over lips?

If so thats pretty cool, something i have never seen before.

The engine cover and spoiler look sweet!
