Re: Cheap little interior mod!
I dunno, I reckon the rev 5 clears and matching side repeaters really bring it up to date nicely. Looks cleaner too :thumleft: I bought the clear repeaters and indicators second hand and they're not particularly good quality. The originals fit soooo much better. I might smoke the originals and re-f...

Re: Restoring the windscreen and door seals
Easy to remove May I add to this statement? Easy to remove - yes. Easy to refit - see below. Having recently replaced a door on my MR2, which involved swapping over the said strip, on reinstating the strip I found it quite tricky to line up all the clips and re-fitting the strip so that the entire ...

A lot more expensive than a roll of masking tape (£1.99), a tin of black spray (£3.99) and an old copy of The Sun newspaper (£0.30). Job done for well under a tenner.

Re: Restoring the windscreen and door seals
The side window strips top gloss layer had rubbed off and they looked awful. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v214/technics1974/MR2%20Rev3%20Blue/me5.jpg I know that some of you boys recommend removing the strips and spraying them off the car. However, having already once had the pleasure of removi...

Re: Track day car
Hi there.
Be warned that the non PAS set up is not particularly pleasant to use as the steering has tendencies to weigh up considerably mid corner. I'd stick to PAS.

What steering wheel is this?
Make and model?
There are no markings or text anywhere on the wheel.
There is no centre hole, which makes it quite different from the norm.

Re: Cheap little interior mod!
I thought you needed heat resistant paint for callipers? I really need to do my black window strips also, how long does spraying them last? In the past I only used high temp paint to do my calipers but this time I just used what I had in the shed. The last time I painted the window strips they stil...

Re: Cheap little interior mod!
I fancied a smaller steering wheel and bought this via Ebay last night. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v214/technics1974/MR2%20Rev3%20Blue/ms1.jpg I was surprised how quickly I got used to it. The only time the steering wheel feels a bit odd is when parking, otherwise I love it. Charlie, my two y...

Re: Cheap little interior mod!
I painted the calipers with two coats of Dulux Weathershield paint. It comes in a variety of colours but I just happen to have a pot of orange left over from another project. Just as well, it looks sweet.

8 years too late I'm afraid bud  That's poor even by my standards! I did something else today: This was the rear box before I started. In this photograph it doesn't look too bad, but take my word for it, it was stained and dirty. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v214/technics1974/MR2%20Re...

Take one Rev 1/2 rear centre panel MR2 badge: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v214/technics1974/MR2%20Rev3%20Blue/me11.jpg There are a couple of clips on back of the badge. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v214/technics1974/MR2%20Rev3%20Blue/me12.jpg Cut the clips off and apply two blobs of adhes...

Re: PPC Section on MK2
Not a great article.
It features photographs of a Rev 3 G-Limited, which has a 3S-GE 175BHP engine but the article and spec sheet state 154BHP.
Shame whoever wrote the article failed to get basic facts right!
