Re: MR2 Rev3 GT Turbo - T-Bar, black, leather/suede seats

Re: MR2 Mk2 Rev3 (95M) GT T-Bar Turbo - black - 300bhp - £3800ono
yeah i was definitely being lazy with the photos! That said, I find that even a car with 20 really good close ups can still be crap when you see it in the flesh! I normally ignore photos and just go and have a good view. I'm going on holiday for a week or so tomorrow but when I get back I'll post a ...

Re: MR2 Mk2 Rev3 (95M) GT T-Bar Turbo - black - 300bhp - £3800ono
Ok ppl haven't had a lot of interest in this! When I've sold my two previous mk1 MR2s they have sold for pretty much bang on the asking price within a couple of days! How come I have no interest on this? Is the price too high or is it just the fact that nobody wants a 20mpg car in the current financ...

Re: MR2 Mk2 Rev3 (95M) GT T-Bar Turbo - black - 300bhp - £3800ono
Yes I have the standard wheels which are included in the sale. They have tyres but with very little tread (I waited until they needed replacing and then bought the 17s) Lol, good question! I didn't buy a 300bhp turbo car to change gear at 2000rpm and cruise around trying to squeeze maximum economy o...

MR2 Mk2 Rev3 (95M) GT T-Bar Turbo - black - 300bhp - £3800ono
I'm selling my MR2 in order to buy a Triumph Street Triple motorbike - just passed my test :-) and can't put up with sitting in traffic any longer! Here's the details: MR2 Mk2 Rev3 (95M) GT T-Bar Turbo - black - 300bhp approx. (black leather/suede interior and elec folding mirrors) MOT'd and taxed t...

Re: Car failed MOT on emissions - Rev3 Turbo
I had a similar problem last year - my CO2 was something like 5.0+ I have a de-catted M-reg rev 3 but according to Rogue the date of registration is about 1 month too new to be able to go through the MOT on the 'non-cat test' I asked my local MOT station to put my CAT back on the car for the MOT, bu...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Vented/grooved brake discs
I keep getting brake fade recently - probably due to how easy it is to go well over 100mph on a (private) dual carriageway in a rev 3! Is it worth upgrading to vented/grooved discs? On previous cars (mk1 mr2s!) I have used high performance pads with pretty good results... but my guess is that with t...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Turbo Timer is unlocking my car..... and aerial not extending
surely this anti-hijack mode can be disabled then? these toad alarms have loads of variable settings don't they?
Only prob I have is that I don't have the pin to access mine!!
Think you can get it reset at a big cost if you call toad directly

SMOKED BY A VAUXHALL CORSA!!!!!!
Yesterday I was out-accelerated in 2nd and 3rd by an 08 vauxhall corsa VXR on a dual-carriageway - much to the amusement of my passenger! He was pulling away from me all the time - I was slightly later on the power than him in second but even so - I have a rev 3 turbo and have recently achieved a qu...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Turbo Timer is unlocking my car..... and aerial not extending
My turbo timer works fine - apart from the fact that when it switches the engine off it unlocks the doors! Not sure of the make of the timer but will check tomorrow - car has a Toad alarm. Also my aerial does not extend when radio is switched on - all the gear looks in good condition and the antenna...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Tyre Pressures for 17" alloys?
The pressures were set by the tyre fitter at 34psi all round and the car seemed to be understeering a lot. I then increased the rear pressures to 36psi 'cos I thought the rears should be more. This seemed to make the cornering a bit better but I did think the car seemed hard as f*ck, especially as I...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Tyre Pressures for 17" alloys?
How do I know what my tyre pressures should be?
7Jx17 front with 205/45 17 tyres
9jx17 rear with 235/40 17 tyres
Should they be much higher than pressures with standard wheels?
