Re: Handbrake Adjustment????
Cheers everyone, and Lauren, you were right-the offside handbrake cable was partially seized.Took it off and got it fairly free but still behaved the same when back in situ so have now fitted a new one,WHAT a difference, and the car passed the brake tests on the MOT yesterday.Unfortunately it failed on...

Re: [Mk2 NA] Off side Handbrake not working
Mike - did you disconnect the cable from the back of the caliper before trying to operate it by hand?that could eliminate the caliper. I had same problem as you - hardly any handbrake at all,but when the handbrake was off,the mechanism at the caliper remained in the "on" position.Tried mov...

Re: MR2 Brakes 1990
My handbrake was sticking on,.I disconnected the handbrake cables from the rear of the back wheels and the mechanism for the handbrake worked just fine by hand,so put new cable on and its fine now.

Re: Knocking rear suspension
Have same sort of noise from the rear of mine too.Its the rear anti-roll bar bushes worn.More annoying on a bumpier road than anything! Not a big job to do,just time consuming. Try getting hold of your anti-roll bar near to one of the bushes and give it a good shaking, see if there is any move...

Re: Fog light removal
Get a couple of self-tappers to fasten your foglight back in again matey. You'll need a very long drill-bit to reach the recessed screws though - they are a pig to get at.When you've removed/drilled out the screws, give the unit a good"tug"towards you as there is a locator on the back of the...

Re: Fog Light Replacement
When and IF you remove the two fixing screws(they are usually rusted in and have to be drilled out),the light assembly will require a fairly hard tug towards you to remove them as there is a plastic locator on the back of it which goes into the bodywork!!There's just a spring clip holding the bulb i...

Battery Loc.........
Look behind the spare wheel in the boot at the front of your car n you will find the battery. Coolant - under the engine bay bonnet at rear of car, looking from the rear, you will see a radiator-cap type thingy on the left hand side. When the engine is cold, remove the cap and the coolant level should b...
