Sorry, has to be a sale. I am planning on using my wife's old polo as community run around and she is going to get a nice new family car.
I don't really want to sell my Mr2, but it has to go!

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Mr2 boost vs renault 5gt turbo boost.........Question?
Eh? I was told i can run 17/18PSi with just an uprated IC, then up to 20-22 with better management and fuelling , is this not right? Everyone seems to get a bit nervous recomending anything over 15 psi standard, unless you start mapping, intercooler etc........££££££ etc.. But why can the renault r...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Mr2 boost vs renault 5gt turbo boost.........Question?
Strange question maybe, but I have always liked the Renault 5 GT turbo, however never been brave enough to buy one given their reliabilty problems and my poor grasp of mechanics. I have also been bitten by renaults in the past! However, I am bemused as to why 5 turbos are capable of running crazy am...

Get it done professionally, it will only cost about £40 per rim. I was thinking of using these guys to restore my original 5 spokes.

Oh, and regarding mileage, I wouldn't worry too much. Just take each car at face value is the best thing to do.
Good luck in finding one!

Standard intercooler too.
Looks suspicious to me.
Why not just by a car off IMOC. There have been some real bargains lately.

Nothing wrong with Rev 2's.
Surely a good rev 2 is better than a bad rev 3??

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Whats a safe boost level?
It seems like nobody really wants to commit to a figure regarding boost levels. I have recently increased the boost on my rev 2 turbo to 15 PSI. I have a Berk intercooler, which I guess helps from a safety perspective, but I am running the old CT 26 turbo which I understand doesn't like too much boo...

Get rid and spend the money on a clean rev 1 turbo from someone selling on this board. It will make sense in the long run, saving you a fortune with which you can put towards insurance! From the problems you describe, putting it right will cost a fortune. You should be able to pick up a nice rev1 tu...

Re: [All] [Generic] modifications
When I first looked at getting the MR2 turbo, I wanted a completely standard car. I had no intention of modifying. However 2 years on and I have put an induction kit on, uprated the intecooler and increased my boost from 10 - 15psi. All I can say is wow! What a difference. I did try it at 18 psi bri...

The 300 quid stuff you speak of is Zymol. There is nothing in it that makes it special from a 10 quid tub of carnauba paste wax from a certain company in the UK believe it or not. Your paying for the packaging, the name 'Zymol' and if i recall correctly, they will refil your tub FOC for life? Miles o...
