Absolute bargain :thumleft:

I'd have had them in a heartbeat if the compression was a smidge lower.

Which spark plugs and gap are you using?
Have you got orange/brown rings on the COP?
What are your AFRs like?

Not intending to step on anyone's toes here but that's just G-Limited Spec not GT spec.
Import N/As were either G or G-Limited. G had whatever you asked for, G-Limited was specced even better than the GT sometimes.

Re: [FINALIZED] What's it worth? Beams turbo

Looking at the dyno graphs I'd want the map checking anyway...they just don't look right to me :-k Why so? If it's cause of the curve then all turbo'd beams go straight up like that  Mine was making 1bar of boost at 2300rpm though with the disadvantage of nothing after 6700rpm. Nope- I get th...

Not the standard S54 or E153 ?

Just an improved S54 (better synchros apparently).

On a side note, I'd be curious to see how the map is set up just for comparisons sake with mine. Re: [FINALIZED] What's it worth? Beams turbo

If it's a beams chassis (1997-1998 G-Limited) then that alone is worth £4000-5000. Beams turbo are quite common on the Altezza but even then the owners add £4000 on for the value of the turbo kit, there's only about 5-10 turboed beams MR2s in the world. I'd run a few mechanical checks on the engine;...

Re: Genuine TOM's spoiler - £100

It was tongue-in-cheek, a free bump if you will. But Tom's are not Toyota; they are an independent tuner who happen to specialise in Toyota and Lexus cars. TOM's means Tachi Oiwa Motor Sport. This is Toyota Motorsport: http://www.v-eight.com/images/Images_Multimedia/TRD_3SGT_Supra/Images_Large/TRD_3...

Re: Forging

CP do pistons off the shelf for the beams engine.

They will do any compression for you but there is a guy who has off the shelf 7:1 which is ridiculously low in my opinion.

Well that went south quickly #-o

Having my own near impossible to fix experience, I know that anything can be fixed but would it be financially sound to do so and also would the car be the same?
Probably cheaper and easier to find a recently imported mr2 and get that.

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Starter motor sound, but engine not turning over, HELP!

You may have knocked a fuse somehow by messing with the interior but that is unlikely.
I'd have a look at the usual suspects; distributor and coil pack.

Did you hear the fuel pump or spark?
