Re: [FINALIZED] 1998 Cosmos Blue MR2 (Beams Engine) SOLD
What's the condition of the engine like? Last service and service intervals? Last cambelt & water pump change? Any videos of the engine running? Any history of accidents with the car? Unfortunately beams are rare because most have been in some type of accident. Anyway I think this is an absolute...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] rare parts
Depends what you class as rare. My engine's not particularly rare but certainly not common in an SW20 form... http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/uu17/RSTA/MR2%20for%20sale/DSC_1288.jpg ...tis rare to see one modified and running aftermarket ECU though. Still pretty rare, especially lately with 2 be...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Mk 2 Beams throttle response
Sounds normal to me, it is just the way the engine works.
It will especially stick up if you have just been revving it rather highly, takes a second or so to go to proper idle.

Re: [Mk2] [NA] ITB's + MAP sensor - Bit of a long post, but worth a read.
Yea but last I checked the Triumph ITBs were rather expensive. You can get GSXR ones for £80 if you look hard enough, hell you can have my silvertop ones for £100 if you wish. Throttle bodies aren't so expensive really, just finding a set in good condition, at the time I was looking I couldn't find ...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] ITB's + MAP sensor - Bit of a long post, but worth a read.
Also expect some rather horrible fuel economy at idle even with a mapped ECU. Power though is really night and day between the old 3SGE to this and the sound when it comes on cam is even better. I did once consider what you are doing, it is actually a great idea in theory but (always a but) it's nea...

Re: WMS Brakes-> AW11 4 pot brake kit: £505.00+vat (also 2.5% or 5% IMOC discounts!)
Ooooh I want  ...it can be arranged! There's one kit on my car, one kit reserved (deposit paid) waiting for me to sign off on the final prototype brake lines before I release the kits to the public - and ONE available kit with no-one's name on. I wish I could but I've got to sort ou...

Re: Uprated Engine Mounts
Firstly a picture of the ITBs, sorry it's not the clearest but currently only one I have of them in situ. Should be done in a few days if I can get these mounts and then it's a case of 2days washing and waxing before I get some amount of pictures. http://i1047.photobucket.com/albums/b471/Redent36/Ja...

Uprated Engine Mounts
I am currently in the final stages of my engine conversion. It is a 3SGE beams with ITBs. My problem arises with how close the ITBs are to the firewall and how much the engine shakes at higher rpms raises concern as to the throttle bodies being disintegrated against the firewall. Firstly are the Tur...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Looking for a FPR recommendation -3SGE
if they both hold fuel pressure i cant see any good reason TBH I agree with you, as long as it doesn't burst from use it should be okay. On my modded turbo i used a £250 aeromotive but on N/A its a waste of money But why are they a waste on an N/A? An N/A requires more careful thinking at the least...

I personally have been looking at the SARD Fuel Pressure Regulators for my build. They seem to have a good rep and a wide enough pressure capability.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] vvti head marriage possible to rev3?
I had a few headgaskets in my hands last week whilst I was trying to figure out a way to decrease compression in the future.
Rev3 seems to match up to the Beams one nearly perfectly.

Re: Possible big brake group buy
I'll keep an out for this as well.
What are the projected sizes for the 17"?
Also are you doing anything for the rear brakes? Will look a bit odd with huge discs up front and a tiny disc on the rear.
