nice one ! :thumleft:

you've been waiting a long time for this to be done, hope it continues to give you loads of fun.

Did they give you an at the wheels power figure, or just the fly one ?

If not a 3071 record, it won't be far off it ... normal fuel too ?

Re: anyone made there own boost leak test kit???

Jim - have a word with Ryan G - he's like Mr T in the A-Team when it comes to knocking these up ! When he made one at AET to test mine, he used like a plastic lid off a tin of body filler or something. he fitted an air hose connector through it, then clamped it to the turbo inlet. compressed air was...

bear in mind, you can turn boost up with an AVCR ... you can't turn it down below actuator pressure though.

Don't hold back Pete, say what you think LOL

It's not something i would ever do mainly because you'd have to be cleaning the engine up every five minutes. not my idea of fun - i have enough trouble making the efoort to wash the car never mind the motor.

Re: Where do you mount yours (power fc)

guess you're on about the commander, not the ECU ...

think there are some cheapo mobile phone holders that sort of clip to the vents that a lot of people seem to use. Mines just sticky-velcro'ed to the side of the centre vents.

check out the classic and custom car mags ... you'll probably find a few places in that type of mag that can do it ... no guarantee they'd be local though.

Re: De-restricted JDM car - where is the gizmo?

HKS do a SLD or SCD or something ... like their FCD but for speed derestricting not turbo fuel cut. maybe on of those is fitted ? other piggy backs can remove it as well ... superchips etc. do you have any boxes that don't look stock in the boot by the ECU ? Did you actually go over the 180kph limit...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Please offer some carming advice!

is the oil level low on the dipstick ? that's the only way to see if it needs a topup. how long is it since you last checked oil level or changed the oil ?

get the heatshields tightened up, it's amazing the nightmare noises they can make.

after doing these see how it is and report back
