Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] suspension creaking noise

Mr2s don't have a spherical top mount as standard do they. Anyway it would clunk not creak. The the fact it don't do it in the wet is a dead give away ;)

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] bent chassis leg

yeh to be honest its an awsome little welder it will weld up to 3mm which is allot for car stuff.

sticks are dirt cheap, about£3 for a pack of 20.

its not one of these cheap welders either. have a look in general for sale

will throw in a proper welding helmet too

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] bent chassis leg

hi mate to be honest you cant go too wrong with welding, as long as you have a practice before hand on something.

it dont have to look pretty, just hold

i also have an arc welder for sale which will do the job spot on £40 but postage will be high :(

Re: Steamy exhaust - puzzled.

dont worry about a steamy exhuast mate, if it is coolant you can normally smell the coolant in the steam.

take it for a good run get it nice and hot see what happenes,

if you only use t 15 mins in a morning than it will just need a good run out

Re: think ive discovered what my "secondary" catchcan is for!

hmmmmm, if that pipe is going to the sump, block it off and see what happenes? i.e does the dip stick now shoot out?? if so i wonder if for some reason your engine is breathing heavy and they have fitted it to overcome it. weather it be a fault with the car or some kind of piggy back mod to overcome...
