What mods does it have at present? You could go for an induction kit
Or you could get a couple of tanks of optimax

Re: [Mk2 ] Shocks
You could tell my front shock had gone by jacking the offending side up & using a pry bar to compress the shock. It had an audible thud so there was no disputing what it was.

Re: Technical question about cambelt tensioners
Thats defiantly duff. Shouldnt be able to push it in like that.
After you fit the new one turn crankshaft pulley around clockwise & check that all your markings still match up. You may find the force of the new tensioner may knock it all out a couple of teeths.

You should be able to squeeze it using a vice but there should be a some effort to do it If it is knackered, is it a Toyota main dealer part only? Believe so about £45 I hate doing M...

Re: Seperate MK's areas?
We still share the fondness for an MR2 whatever it's age......I love my mk1 and that's where my interests are but it's a family feeling I get when coming on here......bit like the review they did some time back in 'Banzai'....it was good to see the 3 models side by side.....perhaps that's what's be...

I'm giving it some revs, the ECU compensates and the speed picks up gradually but I am getting no g-force at all. Clutch on the way out? Thats what sprung to my mind as ...
