Re: Changing doors > Front wing removal ?!

Have you got little fingers Peter ?!

The bolts that hold the hinges in place looked to be tight... I'm assuming you've achieved this by use of a ring spanner ?!

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Rev 2 Turbo Oil Cooler and relocation kit

Nice install... For when there are no options, I've seen the original Blitz/ SARD kits of yester year mount coolers horizontally in front of the gearbox then have a scoop redirect the air up over... It keeps the lines short where you can achieve oil pressure quickly during start up.... Not sure how ...

Re: Odd clutch behaviour at santa pod :-/. What up?? Not great times.

then why bother worry about the times you're running? 14's is pretty slow :oldtongue: I remember years ago my Stock Rev 2 with 1 bar of boost ( tailed off ) .. changing at 6K would get 13.1/13.2 all day long ! 17" / 245 ... Good year F1's on the rears... ! So agree with Lukes comment...

Re: Nankang NS-II's

Why has nobody mentioned the Michelin Pilot sport range ?!? Or even Continental Sport Contact ??! My MR2 I always swore by Good Year F1's.. but I've now found both Continental and Michelins are up there... My M5 has 305's on the rears... Michelin Pilot sport 2's on, N2 compound... and its like a 4wd...

Agreed ... Rev 3 Fueling / ECU, chargecooler and 1.2 bar off a CT-20b turbo will see 300 bhp on a Rev 1/2 Head....

They flow better than a rev 3 head.. ! :thumleft:

Re: ct26 hybrid; washer found behind actuator bracket? *UPDATE* latch difference!?

Theres a difference in the actuator length in the CT26 to the CT20b... The longer one maybe "washer'd" up in this case...

CT20b actuator on a CT-26 turbo if I remember...

Dump valve adjustable ?!?

The flutter can be compressor flutter which is caused by a dump valve closing too early... retaining charge in the pipes...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Fuel Cut Help!

Genuine Rev 2 ? If you're sure it isn't overboosting and the fuel cut is playing up, map sensor on the rear next to the diagnostic port, disconnect it and plug it. This will prevent fuel cut because its a pig on the Rev 1/2's... What this will also mean, the boost gauge wont be working. No adverse a...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] car want sart on mornings

Try this first...

The king lead is prone to corrosion in the coil due to water ingress / dampness.

King lead is the lead from the coil to the distributer cap. Remove this and clean up the contact thats going into the coil. See if you can get something into the coil to clean up as well.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] ringland failure - now the fun?

Take the head off and remove the sump. Change the piston out, put it all back together !!

Parts should cost in the region of £300 inc misc oil / coolant ... and you'll have a whole lot of fun again !

Re: Dragged the 2 for the first time

Times are about right.. the best I could ever get out of my rev 2... fully loaded with interior / air con etc... 13.12 @ 105mph

I was getting consistant 13.5's in it until I changed the tyres for 245/25/17's Good Year F1's made it launch very well.

Re: Ignition problems please help (URGENT)

You're right in the feed to the starter relay comes from the starter motor. You'll see a little ring wire that you clamp with the main power lead to the starter. Have you earthed the engine ??!... get a negative strap off the engine / starter attachment bolt to the chassis of the car ! This is usual...
