Re: TRD kit fitting vids&pics
thought it was about time for an update on this especially as i am hoping to finish it over the next couple of months, well enough so it can be driven anyway. I was hoping to finish it last year but ran out of time due to weather as was relying on it to do the painting which as kind of backfired on m...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] na-turbo conversion i know asked before...
if the car is a one off, colour and kit wise then go for it as it costs alot in time and labour to do a kit and paint properly, were as an engine swap takees a long weekend. Buy a rear clip from a damaged car, as in the entire rear of car,not just the engine,. as that way you'll have all you need.Ma...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] no compression what so-ever on nu 2
rev1 wont have a metal head gasket bud. however use a rev3 MLS or cometic MLS. you need to get the head off to properly diagnose it. The valve (s) must be pretty bad to allow No compression whatsoever! just hope there is not a hole in one of them as it could mean piston damage too. i would say, get...

was wondering about a valve/s but don't know the symptoms as never had a valve problem b4.
Are metal gaskets re-usable? or scrap once stripped?

[Mk2] [Turbo] no compression what so-ever on nu 2
just brought a car(rev1) nowing that it had an engine problem, looked at it from worse case scenario so no worries there. Was hoping it was a head gasket but after a compression test nu 2 as no compression at all. After a slight strip down i can see that it has a mls gasket already, there is a decent ...

very nice spoiler, but it is obvious that pp just modded a stock rev 3 then remoulded. It would be quite easy to achieve the same spoiler if you are good with grp and filler .

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] flush mount fuel cap,any problems
yeh, I know the real ones don't like to admit its a cupboard hinge lol. the folks at trd would have just gone out to source whatever they could use as at the end of the day it is just a bodykit and they ain't going to devolpment tooling just for a hinge especially if they can use aftermarket lol. ch...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] flush mount fuel cap,any problems
cheers jimbob, annoying thing is i spent 3 days making my trd cap and getting it to fit but the hinge was just to flimsy and the cap would have eventually chipped the paint. What hinge did you use and where did you source it? Got mine from B&Q has the original trd is basically a cupboard hinge lo...

[Mk2] [Generic] flush mount fuel cap,any problems
Has anyone on here fitted a flush mount cap, mocal etc. If so did you need to fit a fuel vent or is the tank vented thru a pipe somewhere. I can't find any info which tells me if the std cap is vented or there a external pipe on the tank, but I know that the cap I'm getting is not vented hence need to...
