Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Peter Gidden?

is it him who owns twosrus.co.uk twosrus is a shop with several different people supplying the kit I think. Speedo delimiters are supplied by peter I think but made by stef from the oc (and here sometimes) Peter has never supplied the delimiters, he buys them himself from Twosrus. He's only ever bo...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Vibration at idle through whole car

I had an Escort that did this. It turned out to be one of the shock absorber springs in the clutch had broken and the clutch driven plate wasn't sitting central. If you dipped the clutch while it was ticking over and then brought it up slowly, the vibration went away as the plate was brought central...

SLK350 V MR2 turbo

Well guys, not quite what you might think. We took an 07 Merc 350SLK out for a test drive today and were well impressed. Nice refined car, not as raw and exciting as the turbo, but still quick enough, much nicer on the motorway, yet still handy in the twisties. 155mph and 0-60 in 5.5, proper convert...

Re: JAE 2008?

I'm not so worried about the distance to drive as the location. I work in Colchester from time to time and the machines I work on don't like the corrosion down there. That corner of the world seems to suffer from the exposure to the north winds and the salt carried by them. I don't fancy exposing th...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Rev 1 Turbo Instrument Cluster/Delimit/Electrical Light on

If you go over 3000rpm and the ECU doesn't see any speed pulses (generated by the speedo) then it puts the check engine light on, so that's one issue you can forget about. The first thing you need to do is figure out why the speedo doesn't work, either the cable, the speedo itself or the speed picku...

Re: URGENT - Confusion over twosforus delimter/ mph converter...

Isn't it so you can calibrate it?! Say, you remove the needle its a pain to put back the needle in the original position as you cant just put it at 0 or the rest pin. The speedo will read wrong and instead of driving around with a gps and maintaining that speed with the dash out and trying to stick...

Check your pads as low fluid is a clear indicator that the pads are getting worn. Remember you'll need to remove some fluid from the reservoir when you do replace the pads. Brake fluid removes paint!!

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] rev 1 turbo delimiter

I only make electronic delimiters for the rev 2 to 5 cars, unless you are one of the few people I adapted one to rev 1 for. Have you tried getting the diagnostics to tell you what the fault is? If it is a speed related problem, I'll try and help if I can. I can't think why it only comes on at 80mph ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Speaker upgrade?

I bought cheap nasty ass 4" speakers (as thats what i read the size was on here, turned out it was 3.5"), i then made brackets for them as they didn't fit. They sounded OK but not great. Better than standard anyway. Of course i wasn't expecting much. However, I just fitted another amp in ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Is this omori Boost gauge accurate

I work with laser cutting machines and one of the tools in my toolbox is a very accurate 0 to 2 bar (abs) pressure gauge reading in 0.1 millibar increments (or hPa, PSI). I tested our Omori boost gauge before connecting it up as it too was reading slightly below zero. The result was that the Omori w...

MR2's don't seem to cut out at 112mph.......More like 120 from past experience  Will be fine....as Luke says...until over 300bhp i wouldn't worry :thumleft: Mine is limited as i haven't taken the car on a track or piece of legal road long enough to reach speeds in excess..... 120 ish indic...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Remove limiter without converting mileage?

The one in Twosrus.co.uk has a convert/non convert switch so it can be used with UK speedos. If you fitted it to a KMPH speedo and set the switch to MPH (non convert), it will remove the limit and leave the speedo reading in KmPH and counting in Kms.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Rogue Rev 6 Quad Head Light Help

Have you tried disconnecting the con rods and lift the headlight up above the top bumpstop to see if you can fit the threaded bar easily? If the tube that the bar slides through gets a bit bent, there's no way you can line it up. Make sure the bar slides in and enters the thread without anything els...
