Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Samco Hose fitting

There are a couple under the TB that are coolant related that I think are in the aux kit too. I strongly recommend just replacing the coolant with fresh stuff. Yes you are going to drop around 60 quid on new stuff from Mr Toyota but better than using stuff that has dribbled across some greasy part o...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Samco Hose fitting

I bought the following kits from samco, well not from samco but a reseller. Water Intake Boost and aux. I would love to help you out and let you know what goes where but. . . . they came in one bigger box with the samco boxes flattened. It was less expensive to send that way. so I have no idea what ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Taking MR2 for granted

Ive got Type flexes, the old style not the new mono tube jobbies, and though I love em to pieces I think for pure street use they are a bit too much. If I were to keep the car more street focused rather than being a striped out track toy, I would try some other suspension.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Samco Hose fitting

When you get the Samco kit you get . . . hoses! You are going to need to bleed the system, and you are going to need to change all the coolant. And you are going to need new clips either jubilee types or Toyota OE (new ones mind you they are a use once and never again kinda clip)

Re: rev3 tubby against 350z (story)

I used to have a Maxima which had a VQ30DE engine the 350Z has a VQ35DE which is basically the same engine with more power and size. as for reliability. . . I sold mine at 198,976 miles an had every receipt for work ever done on the car. The sum total of engine work was. . . oil, oil filter, air fil...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Taking MR2 for granted

I used to drive my MR2 daily, now I drive a Subaru Legacy RSK B4, though the rsk has tons of punch and can make a mockery of many other things on the road. I drove the tubby the other day and realized how much better it handles. I unfortunately am driving a 03 Ford Focus tdi 90hp version for the nex...

I have those.

They fit, the were cheap, they were shipped quickly.

The bolts are a bit crap but I still have not changed them out yet.

with 130W bulbs, one you wont be road legal AFAIK, two in main beam each bulb will draw just over 9 amps of current. Also the fuses in the stock circuit are 15 amps each so. . . you ma get away with it but you will kinda be at the limit . . . red line if ya like electricaly speeking. Hope this is of...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Uprated clutch. Need longer slave rod??

To adjust the rod its just a loosen a lock nut, twist rod, re tighten the lock nut. Not hard just awkward because of the location. If you need to change the rod you should not need to re bleed

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Uprated clutch. Need longer slave rod??

Ive fitted a RPS full face street max clutch and with a new slave, new fluid and a fully adjusted push rod I still have a bit of an issue when dead cold or if I hurry the box too much, also on red lineish 2-3-4-5 up shifts. Also reverse can be a bit of a hit or miss to find on the first 3-4 times. I...

The Japanese flag depicts a red circle on a white background, the sun, however when the sun is at the centre of the 'rays' it is the Japanese war flag, or used curently by the Japan Maratime Defense Force. [Wiki] A very well known variant of the sun disc design is the sun disc with 16 red rays, whic...

Re: [All] [Turbo] Turbo Technics vs Turbo Dynamics vs others

I have a TurboForce CT26 hybrid on my rev2! I can say that it holds boost to red line at 1.2 bar, is slightly laggier than the factory CT26, though I only noticed that after driving a stock one directly after mine, and in 3 years it has not shed a drop of oil, or been any thing other than dead relia...

Oddly enough, that is my friends site!

He has done some nice stuff, TBH I have not seen his MR2 door cards but I have seen a set of wings he made for a corsa and they were quite nice even though they were based on pattern parts.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] How much for a full respray in Matt black???

Are you using matte or satin paint? I worry about 'whiting' the matte black if you know what I mean (like a black board.)

I had a Jeep in matte gray that slowly turned black round the areas that got touched etc.
