Wow! Way to dig up an old post! Good use of the search engine!
And yes they do help reduce front end lightness!
I see you are in Chicago, my old man is fron there!

[Mk2] [Turbo] Boost controler for dual wastegate setup?
Just a quick one,
If I were to use a dual scroll type manifold that had dual wastegates would my AVEC-R still be able to control the boost? Would I need 2?
Ideas?
Thanks!

Re: [All] [Generic] Engine Stand
When I did my cambelt and clutch job 2 years ago I used the basic machine mart jobbie (the 3 wheel one) and it was fine. I used a engine crain to get it on and off as the 3sgte is not all that light of an engine. Any stand should be fine, on ebay there are lost of pre loved stands for dirt cheep. Mike

Re: [Mk2] [NA] nuremburg ring?????
Well the cat was a friends bike and I was in borrowed leathers too as I went down in the car with some biker friends and was not planning to ride the ring that trip. So, I kinda just doddled arround did a bit of straight line hero stuff and put in a ~13min lap. The bike was much better than I was :-...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] nuremburg ring?????
Having done >50 laps of the 'ring in my MR2, my wifes Legacy B4, and on a ThunderCat, I can say that no lap rivaled that than the one on the bike. However, I would recomend the car first. I only went round on the bike after I had 10+ laps in cars and even then I still had problems remembering which ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] CC advice
Well ~ 12 months after I installed it I had to have the core rebuilt (FOC) then when I pulled my AC I had to re engineer a mount option and found my pump had gone belly up, now my pump has gone belly up again!

I would love my Rogue/Radtech charge cooler set up more if I did not have to fix it every 12 months.

Jonb-
Uhm I cant seem to find either a 225/50/15 or 235-245 width in the V70 range. I don't want to move to 16" 17" or anything else I am looking for 15" specifically as I have 3 sets of 15" rims. Unfortunately 15" rubber is getting durn hard to find.
Grrrrr

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Tyre life for Proxie 888's?
I used to/still have a set of t1r's and have found them fine however they dont make them any wider than 225 on a 15" rim. Thus looking at the R888's
Thanks for the suguestion though.
Any one using them year round yet?

[Mk2] [Generic] Tyre life for Proxie 888's?
Hey all, I have been living with Dunlop D98J's and D01J's (r, f) on my tubby for about 7 months now and other than needing to keep off the throttle most of the time this winter have had no real complaints. I drove home last night on 17% throttle max acording to my AVEC-R. However the tires are start...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Would it matter?
This is in my own experience and your millage may vary as they say, but, I have a high millage tubby, relatively. I bought it with ~86,000 miles and it now has ~97,000 miles and I know the previous owner was not the most gentile of drivers as exhibited by the chavy BOV and the huge TURBO stickers ad...

As every one else has said, I am gutted for ya. Glad to know you are ok and will be staying in the MR2 fold, I have enjoyed watching your car's progress and have thought you make a valuable addition to the MR2 community. Hang in there and just think how you can now make your next project better! Mike
