Re: [Mk2] [NA] HELP how can i drive more economically

If you have an AVC-R, monitor the throttle position %. By keeping this as low as posible (relatively) I used to manage 330-370 a tank.

Also tire choice MAKES a difference. On my Toyos I get worse economy than on my Dunlops.

Also if it is cool enough keep your windows closed.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Do I DOnt I???

I have a Fidanza RPS Max combo. The flywheel makes a WORLD of difference, smoother up and down shifts (esp when heel and toeing). Makes the whole engine feel different. The RPS Max clutch (full face good to 450 ftlbs) is a bit . . . . aggressive for daily use. Heavy pedal, quick bite, and with the f...

Re: Sigma M30

Ive got a M30 on our B4 and have to agree, it is reliable like a brick, but crap.

That being said, the Scooby Net forum has a guy called SigmaSam Who may be able to help ya out.

Also I believe the Toad alarm group manufactures the alarm so a toad installer may be able to help.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] St205 cc pump position ( is this corect)

Ive never seen a 205 pump mounted anywhere but if you PM Skinthespin (Skinner) he can tell you where his is mounted. As for the pipe work I too had run under the handbrake bar thing as there is not quite enough room over it. However, I have now removed the AC lines and now there is plenty of room fo...

Any issues with rubbing on the bonnet? My Cusco style one has rubbed a patch of paint off one side.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] AVCR FITMENT IN ASHTRAY WHAT DO YOU USE TO PACK IT OUT??

I made a little alloy shelf from some scrap and bolted that to the 'cup'. Then I used some velcro to mount the AVC-R to the alloy. Solid mount and easy to remove when I am pulling the dash apart.

Those circles are interenally threaded on the back and thread on to posts on the floor. Keep turning like you are un threading a screw and eventually it will come off.

Hey Freefall,

I have the stock x type brace, a cusco style (motoria), and a Rogue fan setup. I still have LOTS of thread left on the strut studs. But I do have Tein type Flexes with the illow ball mounts so . . . .

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Carbon Fibre Door Cards

The issues with group buys is the cost involved in the moulding tool. If he invests in making the tool it sets him back £xxx pounds and takes him many hours of time. if then people then drop out of the group buy he is out the cost of the tool and selling bonnets at an overall loss. This has happened...

Hey! That is my friends busness. He goes to Uni with me and has produced some very nice parts. He used mt '92 Rev 2 Turbo to patern the door cards. I don't know if he has actually made a set as yet for the MK2's but looking at my door I think that the flat design is going to have some issues with th...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Carbotech pads fitted

Love mine and find them MUCH less 'dirty' than others I have used. Though with no antisqueal shims or clips in (no back plates for that matter) they do make a lot of noise. Got em on front and rear with black diamond grooved rotors and braided lines. Phenomenal feel, power, and fade resistance. Mike

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Uprated engine mounts & polybushes.... questions..

Hrm,

Durned if I know how this bar could rip out of the chassis, I seem to think that under *hard* acceleration it should be *pushed to* not *pulled from* the chassis.

However for some more pictures look HERE
