Re: What spec wheels to get?
with coilovers the general rule is you'll be wanting narrower front rims and lower offset as stock struts are pretty narrow.
8inch ET35 for example hits most front coilovers.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Turbo Flutter - with video
daft question. Have you re-plumbed the black and white VTA valve at the BOV? The side marked B should be on the passenger side. I had mine the other way round and it make that same noise (rev3 rhd) Is that retained for an aftermarket BOV like the OP has? I'm sure most aftermarket ones I've seen don...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Bridgestone RE070 or other 225/45/17. Has anybody made them fit??
oh I agree it's not something to rush into but it has been done without noted drawbacks.
I'm pretty keen to try 235x40 myself as it's a shorter sidewall but obv wider for the inside of the arch.
Anyways, slightly OT

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Bridgestone RE070 or other 225/45/17. Has anybody made them fit??
Any reason it has to be RE070's? 225/45R17 just won't fit under stock spring perches. With coilovers it depends on wheel offset, you'd need low 30's. I have 225/45/17 rear on stock Rev1 with 205/40/17 front No problems ! OP said front tyres hence Gazza commenting on how they might not fit, without ...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Bridgestone RE070 or other 225/45/17. Has anybody made them fit??
you can fit 225x45x17 under stock perches but depending on Tyre will depend on the er massaging required of the lower cup.
235x40 is shorter in height but obv a bit wider.
It has been done by quite a few folks

Another one to consider, Ligier - https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/f191365440 Front d → 8 to 13 mm Rear d → 13mm spring rate ⇒ front 2.80 rear 5.5 (assume kg/mm) interesting in these springs is the quoted length front 236 rears 306 my springs which I assume...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Comparisons of suspension
i have Yellow B6 struts on my Rev3 turbo and had them on before when i last time round I replaced the OEM Black units. Yellow B6 are stiffer but by how much I dont know and tbh they are fine for road usage. Black OEM struts replaced 83k miles with Yellow B6 - OEM springs kept Yellow B6 units replace...

[Mk2] [Turbo] 3 hole flange bottom of stock downpipe is it a standard generic 3inch flange
so my legalis exhaust is leaking from the mild steel 3 hole flange joining the pipe to the stock downpipe and also the mild steel 2 hole flange at the rear silencer despite it being stainless steel pipe throughout and all stainless silencer. Also leaking from the flexi pipe too. So the question, sto...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] What is a good wearing tyre ?
er 500bhp and you want cheap rear tyres? Try turning the boost down to nothing and that'll help. Failing that, some really cheap tyres with a tread rating of 400+ should do you but dont expect any traction. edit: maybe I was a little harsh but I run 250BHP and had PS2 Michelin on the rears and now r...

Re: [FINALIZED] BIG BRAKE KIT new pics offers
it uses the stock front caliper so fitment shouldn't be an issue though obv you'll need 17inch front wheels to clear.
If you chech what clearance you have the now then that'll give you the best idea
