Re: rear brake pads - discontinued from Toyota now?
yeah I've managed to get some pads from TCB parts.
I liked the stock pads as they had little dust and didnt fall apart in use.
Will see how these go but might head towards pagid next time.
What pads did you find?

rear brake pads - discontinued from Toyota now?
as above, tried to get stock rear pads for the car and both Toyota and TCB told me they were no longer available.
Got some stock alternatives coming but anyone else had this issue?

Re: REV3 Turbo - Lightweight Alloy radiator from ebay
lift the back of the car when refilling and bleeding the coolant. Use cap filler as the main air bleeder but you obv have the heater matrix bleeder as well. You can hand squeeze the radiator pipes at the actual radiator to help push air bubbles out of the system. When the rad pipes are too hot to to...

[Mk2] [Generic] rear brake caliper replacement -rev3
just checked Bigred and they require your original calipers first before they can refurb meaning car out of action for however long it takes them.
Anyone recommend other refurbishment companies that don't require your calipers up front?

Re: Coilovers
So I found out my coilovers are gouging a nice groove into the inside sidewalls of my AD08R's on my 16's TBF I should've checked the clearance after asking for -2.0 degrees of camber, plus they are like +30 8J Just ordered some ARP wheelstuds and I've got some 5mm hubcentric spacers that were made ...

Re: MK2 getting stuck on snowy incline starts
ha, I've got AD08R's on mine and it's completely pointless trying to drive it in snow. Feels like the front and back end are trying to go in different directions. Came off traffic calming bump (which i couldnt see because of the snow and parked cars) and went completely sideways but managed to not h...

Re: Suspension upgrade.
I'd be tempted to go for coilovers with the soft spring instead of the rock hard standard offering and then you can set the ride height as you please.
Obv if you have wide front wheels then you are limited somewhat.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Which brake discs and pads?
if you have stock calipers then plain old OEM discs from Toyota are hard to beat no matter what pad you put against them. Ask for a discount at your local dealer, I got my discs 2 for price of 1 :thumleft: . Pads, different argument entirely but for street use and nothing too lairy then again stock ...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Any tips to stop doors freezing shut
silicon spray works great for sure, I also have a silicon bladed kitchen spatula for prizing open the doors when they're frozen solid.
Another tip, make sure the door hinges are well lubed as I had then sticking and that didn't make it easy getting into the damned thing!

cheers bud, much appreciated for the info :thumleft: Reckon a 225x45 or 235x40 would fit on the front ?
