I think I will change back to black hoses.
I was worried the cam cover would be leaking again after I changed the gasket. I have found a little leak though but it doesn't seem to be coming from the cam cover gasket itself. I'm just making a crude sketch as it's hard to photograph.

Re: Water/meth injection: a theoretical and practical discussion
So how can you be sure your reading o f the inlet temps is correct? Do you see my opinion with regards to the moisture collecting on the probe. I'm no expert when it comes to car engines and injection systems but I am an expert in testing and measurements. I don't have any evidence that it is 100% ...

For more info please read. http://www.aquamist.co.uk/vbulletin/archive/index.php/t-286.html This is a very interesting topic, hope we get to a definitive proven answer, I was going to calculate the possible cooling effect of WI Thermodynamically, but the guy in the link above has done it for me. Re: invitation to the 7th Dutch MR2 weekend
Like last year, the dinner is listening on Friday night in the packaging!
After dinner there is a social event in the special space in the MR2 for those who want to continue the party. Until the late hours
Definitely sounds like fun.

Re: Water/meth injection: a theoretical and practical discussion
What sort of pressure and temperature is the water and methanol before its injected.
To drop air temps over the range I'm guessing that fast it would require a lot of energy?
I'm very interested in the theory. I don't disagree with the benefits of WI but would like to know the math behind it.

Re: Water/meth injection: a theoretical and practical discussion
Yes Bob seems to have a lot of story's, pity he does not have any hard evidence/testing data to prove anything which is odd for someone who has spent so much time testing something as simple as a water injection system for seemingly years on end.. I have an analytical background/job, I design drug ...

There's nothing wrong with taking a little break while you regain the motivation.
Would be interested to know what the little bugs are though?

Re: Dazzz's Rev3 Turbo Tbar
Refitted all the bits from the engine bay after cleaning and painting. Can't decide whether to have the braces shiny black or silver to match everything else. Originally black but I thought I'd try the silver first. Placed in position for now until I decide on the final colour. I changed the pipes f...

Re: Water/meth injection: a theoretical and practical discussion
Can you supply a link to "a scientific study of water injection in a climate control dyno room"? There are plenty of people that spray water before the turbo, you cant tell me that any of the small amount of water they use remains as liquid after going through that so I cant see why the m...

Cam cover removed. When I went to undo the bolts in the cam cover I discovered they were all barely finger tight. I've never undone them or had any work done which would require for them to be undone. Something to keep an eye on when finished. Dirty cam cover. http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj22...

Cam Cover RTV
Just about to refit my cam cover and keep reading about putting rtv sealant somewhere.
Can anyone explain where it should go? I have searched but seems confusing.
