Re: 5SGTE Build Complete
Thanks for the comments, if I didn't do the work myself I wouldn't be able to on the car tbh, I couldn't of afforded all the labour over the years!
I have asked alot of questions and harassed alot of people along the way for advice etc, I have alot of people to thank believe me!

Re: 5SGTE Build Complete
Mine has had some rust which I have had to sort, and I have some more that will need cutting out and replacing in a year or so. I have had some head lift issues, the block has been fine, what I mean is, there are still plenty of things to go wrong at high power, it's always a risk. Building a high p...

Re: 5SGTE Build Complete
Thanks, I have learnt over the years there are so many conflicting ideas on what works and what does not. And the arguments it causes can be crazy on here. I'll try and be on more and I usually reply to people that pm me. I'll never get rid of my car, thought about it a few times but this last 10 ye...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] retracting mirrors
While you're here do you mind if i ask what sort of power are your running now, did you change over to the 5s block? I switched to a 5s block a few years ago, I am running 630whp at the moment, so around 700+ crank hp, I'll put a link on my 5sgte thread to my latest video Thanks for posting the dra...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] retracting mirrors
Well as a follow up, the retracting mirrors are fed from the ecu-b fuse under the bonnet. Must be the only thing they feed on my car as it apparently feeds airbag and some say abs, of which I have none anyway.
Easy fix, should of looked ages ago haha

[Mk2] [Turbo] Exhaust manifold stud threaded, how much meat around the hole?
Long story short I have helicoiled a exhaust stud a couple of times and they have failed completely after a period of time, now there is pretty much no aluminium left. I think the next tap size which would give good clear strong threads is going to be m14! I don't have a spare head to see how much m...

Mk2 abs sensors? Do any others fit?
I need a front and rear abs sensor, new they are just ridiculous money and it's cheaper to get second hand hubs with the sensors in and just swap them out completely. Are there any other sensors from other cars that fit? My ecu can be configured for any sensor so that makes no difference it's the fi...

Re: [FINALIZED] Forged engine block
I have built a few engines over the last 14 years for the mr2, even with arps you can get a premature head gasket failure or leakage that isnt always noticable when removing the head. I am actually waiting for a new gasket for my engine as it is leaking coolant into cylinder one very slowly, i had t...
