Subtle!
Nice pair. Why weren't they at Santa Pod the weekend before? It was the retro show and mine was the only one there!

Hmmm. Possibly me coming back from the Retro Show at Santa Pod!? Certainly the right time/location. My car isn't supercharged but it does have the import light clusters.

Ah thanks Paul? Do you have any kits available?
Is there any way of checking this? If I remember correctly it has something to do with the hole in the throttle body...

Rev Bounce (joy)
I'm getting the classic bouncy idle. I've come across this loads of times and am aware the cause is usually air in the cooling system. In the past I have always managed to bleed the coolant successfully. I have repeated the bleed process 4 or 5 times over the last couple of weeks and the problem won...

Looks like a great job! Would definitely get some new wheels though as a finishing touch! I actually like the white, but they need to be something a bit more angular/retro. Didn't you have some black dished wheels before? I reckon something along these lines (Compomotive TH Mono - 8*15): http://i18....

Are you qualified to work on front-engined cars?
Looks lovely though. Definitely something about the AE86. Would love to have a go in one to compare to the AW11!

Yes. Your interior would go nicely in my car.......
Get him to knock up a carpet in that colour too? Maybe that would be where it got silly.

You get the pillowball top mounts as well.
They are extra though... At least they were last year when I got mine.

Re: Coilovers on Mk1s
Is there any difference in strut length between mk1 and mk2? I would be a bit annoyed if I shelled out for mk2 coilovers for my mk1 then found out I couldn't lower it as much as I had wanted because there is less travel or something like that. Possibly useful info for this thread? But then I guess a...

Re: VSV valve operation
Nice one Jimi! I'm learning about this because I recently fitted a VSV that Vashy gave me. My car has been without one since I bought it (3 years). Only just got around to asking what the spare blue connector in my engine bay was for! The pipe from the air filter was plugged directly in to the inlet...

Re: VSV valve operation
I have a question about the VSV...
Does it 'react' to the operation of the windows?
My idle normally seems fine but I can make it dip by holding the window button fully down or up when the glass itself is at either stop.
Nothing to worry about I'm just curious!

That car is the twin of mine! Was just looking at pics of your car, it looks great! The t-bar, and little extras really make it look nice. Can't access your blog though?...i'd love to have a read through it! Hmm. Not sure why that would be. Are you registered on the mk1 club forum? It's just in the...

Re: adjustable cam gears - great deal?
I disagree. If they do the job then why should the logo match.
An adjustable pulley is an adjustable pulley.
If someone comes along and says these ebay ones do the job fine then that's a bit of dollar saved! No harm in posting this to check.
