Re: Evo vs MR2 turbo Rev 2
And they have what in common with an MR2? The engine is in roughly the same place and drives the rear wheels? That still doesnt mean the MR2 will match an Evo on launch.

Re: Evo vs MR2 turbo Rev 2
Enlighten me to which 'fastest cars' you might be refering too?
Peak power depends on other components other than just the turbo kit along with the mapping!

Re: Evo vs MR2 turbo Rev 2
Have to disagree with that, given the fact a 4 wheel drive car is distributing the power between four wheels means it will always launch quicker than a two wheel drive car. This will really show itself once power levels are increased. 0-60 time includes the launch tho.. Being 4wd the Evo will launch...

Re: Evo vs MR2 turbo Rev 2
True! and after owning three MR2's and two Evo's I can say the Evo will yield more power from tuning pound for pound.

Re: are all evo drivers big heads
Absolutely hilarious thread...good to see the banter still lives on the forum! Spend most (actually all) of my time on the MLR now as I am on my second Evo after chopping the MR2 in, the last of three! I can honestly say... yes the MR2 is a fun car but you spend most of the time hoping that you will...

Insurance
I had a small altercation at the end of my road last week, damage to both cars is minor so I am contemplating paying to have both cars repaired myself. My excess is £400 and the cost of repairs to both cars is going to be around £800. My question is is it worth froking out the extra £400 or should I...

Re: PowerFC
There is not alot that can be done to stop this, they can object to it but as there is no signed order in place you are free to do with it as you please, you have paid for the map! Besides, do what I do and map the thing yourself, much more fun and as I proved on my '2' i got better MPG and better B...

Re: Crank differance
I should give you some more history. The crank has been out once, measured, polished and re-installed with some new standard bearings. the car was then ran for 500 miles he dropped the oil put some fresh back in and set about driving the car again. Within the next say 500 miles the car span aother b...

Crank differance
Hi All
My friend has recently ran his engine low on oil starving the b ottom end, in particualr the big end bearings, the crank seems to scored so i am suggesting he fits a new one, are there any differances between the different generation cranks?
Doeas anyone have a Rev3 crank they are selling?

Re: 4 WHEEL ALIGNMENT - MANCHESTER?
Where can I get these bolts from? I just spoke to Drury lane and mentioned the bolts, he said idealy get them in if you can.
Highly recommended is to buy a set of 4 camber adjustment bolts (sBits do a set for £18) and have them fitted. You'll save a fortune on tyres alone.[/quote]

Re: 4 WHEEL ALIGNMENT - MANCHESTER?
Thanks guys
Let me get this right, they charge £25.00 for a check and then £16.50 for each adjustment? What do they class as an adjustment?
What is the general price for an alignment from them?
Mike

4 WHEEL ALIGNMENT - MANCHESTER?
I recently fitted some coilovers to my car and the handling has gone to pot, it seems to skip while driving in a straight line and also pulls to one side now :(. I live in South Manchester can anyone recommend a place I can go to for the work to be carried out? I need somewhere like RC Developments ...

Spec Clutch RIP
:-k Have had the Spec stage 2 clutch in for about the same time as I have had my engine built approx 2 years or so and in that time I have done say 8-10,000 miles. Tonight whilst out for a drive I lost all gear selection, I have toasted the clutch already I am struggling to accept that it has lasted...

Re: Help, knock sensor still showing high knock levels
Didnt know you could adjust via Datalogit, nice little trick. What Jekyl has said is so true, 'phantom knock' is not unheard of (pardon the pun) if you actualy listen to an engine through a stethoscope like they use when tuning/diagnosing faults you would be amazed at the amount of clanks and knocks...
