[Mk2] [NA] How to change rocker cover gasket?
Hi I had an oil leak which killed my alternator which I have now changed but as I do not want it to happen again I am going to change my rocker cover gasket. I have just ordered the gasket and bolts from ebay. I was wondering if there was a write-up/guide on how to change the gasket as there seems l...

[Mk2] [NA] How to change the rocker cover gasket?
Hi my alternator died so pulled it out and it was covered in oil which looks like its coming from a leaking rocker cover. I have had a look and everyone mentions screws to take this out but I have bolts all over so just wondering if I am looking at the right parts?? Has anyone got a guide or can tel...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Alternator may be dead again!
The car was running perfectly before this, also I'm pretty sure that its not the battery as its a fairly new one.
Any other suggestions?

Hi I have a 92 Gltd and yesterday I had a few warning lights on the dash come on and the lights on the dash were dimming and almost off by the time I reached home, also the headlights were dying aswell. [Mk2] [NA] Rev 2 exhaust
Hi I am after a new/second hand exhaust for a rev2 n/a import and was wondering if all n/a upto rev 5 had the same fitting for the backbox as I have seen a rev 4 n/a backbox for sale and was wondering if it would fit my car.
I have tried the search function but it doesn't seem to be working.
Cheers

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Urgent help with fron brake caliper pistons
Cheers for the help guys I managed to do it in the end!
I pushed 1 piston back held it with some wood then smacked the otherone in... Job done!
But.. now I just took the car for a quick spin and the brakes seem weak, I suppose they need bedding in, but I will check if there is air in the system

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Power steering has become hard?
I checked the level when it was cold and it was up to the cold mark, so i decided to buy some power steering fluid anyway and top it up and hey presto! Turned the wheel full lock each side for about 10 seconds each and it was perfect again. So no major costs involed their, thank god!

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Power steering has become hard?
No dash lights have appeared, I will check the diagnostics tonight to see if there are any error codes. I did have a look at the power steering fluid and when i opened the filler cap there are no markings to show high or low levels of fluid, there is only a plastic stick on the cap which shows if th...

[Mk2] [Generic] Power steering has become hard?
Hi I have a rev 2 GLtd and it has never had any problems with the power steering, however over the last week it seems like when I am turning the steering wheel the steering seems harder to turn, at slow speeds its actually very hard to turn and there is a loud squeeling sound especially on full lock...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Screw on top of throttle body?
Sorry its a Rev 2 n/a. I thought that it just adjusts the idle speed to be honest because just under the throttle body is the idle control.

[Mk2] [Generic] Screw on top of throttle body?
The screw on top of the throttle body, is this to adjust the idle or the mixture? If it is the mixture do you turn it clockwise or anticlockwise to decrease the amount of fuel?

Re: [Mk2] [NA] How many wires on my Lamda sensor?
I can now answer this question! I have just taken of my lamda, wasn't too bad. Took me about under an hour including taking all my tools out getting the car up and putting everything away, so not bad at all. There are 2 nuts to undo the top nut was easy, just used an extension bar with a 12mm socket...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Post cambelt change probs
The belt will not need bedding in at all. If it does not feel like it should its quite likely that the timing is out.
When i had mine changed there was no difference at all from before and after getting it changed.

[Mk2] [NA] How many wires on my Lamda sensor?
Hi I have an overfuelling problem and after doing the multimeter test on the car it seems to be the lambda sensor. What I need to know is how many wires are on my lamda sensor is it 2 or 4? The car is a 1992 Rev2 G-Ltd (n/a). Im just at work now so cant check it. I wanted to order a universal one wh...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Overfuelling - lamda sensor?
Thanks that link is exactly what i need, should have checked this before posting... .
Im going to check this at the weekend and hopefully this is the problem, and if it is it would make sense as to why the car is over fuelling.
Cheers terribleone

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Overfuelling - lamda sensor?
The fuel is dropping a lot quicker than usual and also the exhaust is popping alot which is the unburnt fuel and that is with a cat on the car because i took the decat pipe off and put the cat back on. Also my mate who is a mechanic said it was overfuelling a lot.

[Mk2] [NA] Overfuelling - lamda sensor?
My car is a rev2 n/a Gltd and its overfuelling quite a lot. Just wanted to know that if my lambda sensor is gone will this show up on the diagnostics check? I think it should do but is it possible that this problem will not show up because i have done the diagnostics and it came up with no errors at...
