Re: imoc
Interesting, so now two places to post.... only criticism is that the new forum is much harder on the eyes with the white text on black background and bright blue and green text. I much prefer this one to read. Glad you found us :thumleft: the screen colours will be addressed in due course, still a...

Re: Delayed start?
Kev i know what your thinking i thought it would be the starter relay, but as the lights dim when the key is held over it cant be, the starter relay wouldnt make that much draw on current & offer little in the way of resistance to dim the lights , Jinx

Re: More starting problems
Common problem this time of year Alex, as far as im aware it doesnt do any harm, but try not to rev the car with it engaded otherwise you will burn it out. Also remember that if you do take the starter off the car to disconnect the battery first, the starter is wired to permanant live & has no c...

Re: Delayed start?
Right, that tells me that there is resistance when you turn the key, that would mean that the ignition barrel is fine, it could be a sticky starter motor or bad earth, there is a switched earth on the starter motor, i think im right by saying its on a black plug on the solenoid, what you need to do ...

Re: Delayed start?
Hi Garrick, my response was to do with this . Put the keys in, lights all come on as normal. Turn the key to the start position and keep it there....... nothing for about 5-10 seconds then as long as it's kept in the start position.... it starts. If there is a resistance being built up somewhere the...
