[Mk2] [NA] Radio fitted now car wont start!!

I took the car to an auto electrician and he installed the head unit out of the mess of wires. The head unit now works but the car won't start. Key turns and the starter relay clicks but there is no 12v charge going to the starter. When you connect the wire running into the starter to a 12v source t...

Yep, rim should sit 20mm outside rolled arch and stretched tyre will be sitting flush.

[Mk2] [NA] ARP wheels studs for 10mm spacers 245/40/18 9.5JJ +30

I have heard all the horror stories about extended wheels studs with spacers but i have found some ARP ones on twosrus. these are designed for track and racing use so my everyday gentle driving should be ok right? Don't want to compromise on safety but really want to have the right offset on these w...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] 18 inch wheels

Hi, I have that spec of wheels. Offset is +30. You'll need to roll the arches unless you have a severe stretch on your tyres. Handles like crap but looks good.Check out pics... http://i341.photobucket.com/albums/o381/adam_and_kim/DSCF4998.jpg http://i341.photobucket.com/albums/o381/adam_and_kim/DSCF...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Full kit fitting, sidestrips blended and resprayed on my drive!!!

Cheers for all the comments guys, the Lexus rear lights are there as an addition to the red white theme as it's the colours of my company graphics which will be sign written on the car when it's finished, to match the two smart repair vans. I know they are dislked by some (and until a couple of year...

Lexus have no reverse lights, will need to have some in centre panel if you want to include them, i have opted to leave them out, still passed MOT no problem...

Well, after a lot of paint, a new windscreen after the bonnet went through it at 70mph and many hours of toil the car is almost ready. Here are a couple of photos before a final unveiling next week... PS. please excuse the angle of the bonnet, this was taken before it was replaced... http://i341.pho...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] lambda sensor for rev1

Having looked at the previous MOT fail sheet where there was nothing attached at the cat-flexi point the natural idle test gave 0.722% with a limit of <=0.500%, hence a fail, but the car has beenstanding for a very long time (previous MOT was 2006). Test was for a catalyst equipped vehicle with a cl...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] lambda sensor for rev1

That might explain why the wire was cut on the old flexi then!! It should presumably go straight through an MOT then? Might be using pacific works from now on as luke is only down the road.

Re: [Mk2] [NA] lambda sensor for rev1

This confused me too. The mechanic i have taken it to says that it needs a 2 wire sensor to attach to the place in the engine that the wire goes. HGowever the flexi pipe i replaced has a 4 wire attached which is wrong. I could really do with some advice on this as its the only thing twarting my MOT ...

[Mk2] [NA] lambda sensor for rev1

I have a rev1 (chassis number <58000) even though its a K plate, and i need a 2 pin lambda sensor as the flexi i bought has a 4 pin. Does anyone know where i could get a 2 pin connector? If not then does anyone know how to connect a 4 pin lambda to a rev 1 engine?

Re: [Mk2] [NA] sneak preview

wheels are 18" 'Godfather' rims, fronts 8.5JJ +30 offset, rears are 9.5JJ +30 offset. Lowered on tein springs on standard struts, clearance to the spring seat is less than 2cm and the clearance to the arch at the rear was less than 2cm until i rolled the rear arches, its still going to be tight...
