Re: Little Treat for TRD Fans :-)

It looks like it although it says they used T37's for the track so it sounds like they were just for show. Confuising!??? LOL The racing harts are shown in the official brochure too www.trd2000gt.com/t167-trd2000gt-usa-sales-brochure All the pics I can find of that car are here: www.trd2000gt.com/t2...

Little Treat for TRD Fans :-)

Been after a copy of July 1999 Import Tuner Magazine for ages as it contained details of the TRD2000GT in the USA. Finally managed to locate one on ebay.com. You'll recognise the front cover - I've uploaded rest of the pages to the link below www.trd2000gt.com/t214-july-1999-import-tuner-magazine#76...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] TRD Tuned engines ?

If you look at the list of parts whete it says "3S-GE" (the N/A) as opposed to "3S-GTE" (the turbo) you can see som eof the goodies they offered http://trdparts.jp/english/list_mr2.html They did do a limited amount of bolt on tuning goodies but it was aimed mostly at the turbo ca...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] TRD spoiler

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] How many complete TRD bodied cars did Toyota make

I've looked long and hard to try and track down all the current ones but in doing so I found out a few interesting nuggets...... The cost to have it done was 1.1million yet which included fitting and painting and too about a month to do. The price was NOT to ensure exclusivity and the extra plate ad...

Re: Well the TRD rep is home.....

Just had a quick look - excellent progress there :-)

Why don't you just treat the car as a mule and refit the bolt on bits properly ready to transfer to your new car.

Re: Well the TRD rep is home.....

If you remove the wing you will be able to sort that when you reapply it to the new car. If I understand it right the bottom of your bumper is wavy - you can fix that by clamping it to a straight piece of wood so it lies straight then apply layers of fibreglass to the panel and allowing it to set in...

Re: Well the TRD rep is home.....

I think you've just got the "what have I just done?!!!!" nerves LOL Nothing in those pics there that cant easily be sorted out yourself :-) 1) Rear bumper - very easy repair - as a guess someone has cut that for a previously bigger exhaust. 2) Rear light surrounds - easy fix (but obviously...

Re: Wing replacement

All in a bit of a random order but... There's the 3 obvious bolts along the top of the wing once you open the bonnet (remove these last) http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i2/jeffreyduckworth/TRD/VIS%20Kit/DSCN0279.jpg If you remove the headlamp surround there is another 3 highlighted by the green ar...

Re: What do TRD reps go for these days?

Invest in a bosch multitool - perfect for trimmimg/cutting bodykits. If you take the front wheels off youll be able to see the insuide of where the joins are which if your careful you should be able to slice apart :-)

Re: What do TRD reps go for these days?

The only things that should be "difficult" to remove are the rear wings which should be bonded on. Front and back bumpers, front wings and side skirts should be bolt on. Boot lid including rear spoiler could be just swapped over with your own.

Jack-p has done this on his.
