Re: Brake caliper seized....but it isn't!
When you disassembled them to inspect them did you notice any parts that seem stuck ie. pistons didnt go back in easily or the pads were difficult to remove from the carriers (which would point to what I suggesed)

Re: Quiet replacement for blue flame exhaust for my turbo?
Your right there is - unfortunately for you its had the black coating on the main box removed but you couldalways paint it I suppose. Also, you only need the rear box as its designed to fit a standard system.

Re: Quiet replacement for blue flame exhaust for my turbo?
If thats the case youd be better off with a TRD as the center box is black so doesnt really show
BTW IIRC Neither are made anymore so just look for a 2nd hand one

Re: Quiet replacement for blue flame exhaust for my turbo?
I've had loads of exhausts and the nicest sounding one is the Departure Non pro.
TRD if you can get one is also very nice as is Fujisubo Legalis R (not had one personally but heard one).

Re: Brake caliper seized....but it isn't!
I'm assuming youve tested the caliper by checking the pistons go back in ok and youve also checked the sliders slide? If so have you checked that the pads themselves arnt sticky? Try removing caliper out if the way and take the V shaped springs off (if you still have them) and just check that the pa...

Blueflame and mongoose are essentially the same (used to be same company) but the Mongoose has straight tips whereas the blueflame are angled.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] When does a mr2 stop being a sports car and become a hypercar or something
The GT300 race cars were highly modified so that's not really a fair comparison - by the time they were finished there was very little left of the original car except the body shell - see the link below. http://trd2000gt.forumotion.com/t123-gt300-pics-engine-and-internal-photos You could never buy t...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] When does a mr2 stop being a sports car and become a hypercar or something
Agreed........however, can a mk2 really ever compare with the likes of Ferrari in the handling department? Depends what Ferrari you're comparing it with, a Ferrari of the same era say a 348 or 355 would definitely have an MR2 nipping at it's heals around the twisty bits. As good as it is the handli...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Wheels
If you scroll down to the tyre sizes on link below you'll see that for a 8" wheel the min width is 215mm and the maximum is 245 - hope that helps :-)

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] trd rev3 adjustable spoiler
Heres a pic of a TRD Celica spoiler but the MR2 one works in an identicl way - the "adjustablilty" is achieved by reversing the small square plates around to move the position of the holes

Re: rear light clusters pre facelift / facelift interchangeable?
Yes but your going to need more than just the light unit themselves as the panel that goes between them is a different shape and the boot lock is different etc. I'd estimate spending about £150 on parts 2nd hand. Good news is its an easy job to do. Have a look here on how its done :-) http://mr2.noe...

Re: How often do you drive your `2?
Do approx 450 miles a week in mine. With the price of MR2s these days its cheap enough just to get another when its worn out so I'd get as much use out of it as you can :-)

Another one for Luke - answered my call for help out of hours after my cambelt snapped and had it all fixed by the next day. Done with a smile at all times too :-)
