Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Head skimming

Someone correct me if wrong. If it's flat just get it surface ground. If it needs a skim then there should still be plenty meat but the waterways are the highest points so check that.

A skim doesn't take much off so think you will be ok with a standard hg otherwise you can measure the piston squish.

Re: Aston Martin V8 VS Rev 3 tubby...

The ol'tubby was a very good recipe and suprises many cars off the line and in gear performance.

But it's not all about that some exotic cars have other qualities too.

Do miss mine sometimes but bikes and track days are far more fun x1000

Re: Body kit paint prep

I'm presuming rattle cans here. So you lacquer almost straight after base coat or let it cure?

On thing is you'll almost certainly need to wetsand the clear if using rattle can, so put a good few layers.

That's who I got mine from, and it's been fine. Purchased from them before and they sell legit stuff.

Looks like something's wrong with the recent work... Leak test the cylinders to narrow it down.

Re: This is bad right?

Doesn't look good, how are they externally. If solid then worth getting a boroscope in there to check it out. If not too bad and only on the surface you can buy products to neutralise the rust and protect.

Re: Oil Leak MR2 Turbo

If your going to do the cam bolts and gasket anyway do that first, don't forget a little RTV sealant in the corners of the three cam caps.

Clean the underside with brake cleaner and inspect after a few miles.

Rear crank seal is gearbox off, the seal itself is easy to change.

I went for the AEM and Bosch sensor, no calibration needed. No problems.
