As above do Forged pistons expand when hot to fill the bore, so when cold it shrinks? does this cause piston rock?
and are they much more noisier?
are there any long term probs to this application?
whats the other type... Hypereutectic piston??
Thanks

I wasn't saying 6x9's are chav, but if have all the fader behind you that wil sound pants no matter which speaker you have. you should have mid/vocal from the front and then you can position subs anywhere. if you already got the 6x9s you will have to connect them with front speakers aswell at the le...

If your after decent clarity with a good thump. All i would do is have your new h/u connected to a decent set of front components like infinity kappa do a straight swap for ur old speakers thou u may need a spacer? which should definately run thru an amplifier. This imo will give you clear mid range...

According to page 150 of a turbo "Owner's Manual" the recommended oil grade for extreme cold is is 5W-30 so he may of got it from that, otherwise it's 10W-30 :-) Oil is meant to be changed every 2,500 miles, but the filter every 5,000 miles. http://www.flashmetal.com/1995-owners-manual-73...

You also get 10month policies, called bonus accelarator (admiral). they have to award you 1 yrs ncd. you can take that to which ever company and they will accept it. If ppl are after ncd in a hurry, the only real way is to cheat, and that would be illegal but more importantly unfair on the other ins...

Re: [All] [Generic] 'Trick' to acquire no claims discount twice as fast
Like some ppl say insurance companies will award you x amount of ncd, it doesn't neccesarily mean you've been claim free for that many years. as long as they give it to you, and your next company dont complain no probs. NCD... so 4 yrs ncd doesn't exactly mean 4yrs claim free insured driving. theres...

Re: [All] [Generic] insurance cancelling - cost?
If you go through a broker they normally charge a higher cancellation fee, but most reputable direct insurance companies will only charge 1/12th of your premium, i.e 1 months payment.
But it is all in the contract.
I know liverpool victoria and i think virgin still dont charge a canx fee.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] help, views/advice on suspension/chassis setup
nobody can say the mr2 is a superb handling car, coz its not. not for the power anyway. i think the handling lets the rest of the car down. But why should it if you can improve it. Everyone's modifying the engine to increase power, why not tune the chassis, bends are as fun as straight line speeds. ...

Yeah true, you must expect a degree of understeer. Stiffining it up would help understeer i imagine but would it help the snap tendecies? i mean a gradual step it is prefferable. Mind you i ben thinking and while the car understeers, and then does snap to oversteer.....i believe the back is graduall...

Toe and heel is another good thing when braking and changing gear. "Heel and Toe" :oldtongue:  is really only necessary for track driving........I can only do it in bare feet due to having size 12 and the pedals being where they are  Tried it in my mums golf with immense brakes...
