Re: Big brake kits - which one for a track car?

The plan still is to develop a rear MR2 handbrake setup, once done we should be able to port it to the Mk1, Mk2 and Mk3. I've still got my AW11 and SW20 stashed away for this exact reason (rear brake testbeds) - even though I've now got kids! There's not been much progress recently as I'm ...

Re: Big brake kits - which one for a track car?

So for most people the ideal rear WMS caliper / handbrake kit would be for a 16" wheel by the looks of it?

Re: Big brake kits - which one for a track car?

To clarify we currently make these rough sizes for the Mk2: 300mm ish (16" fit) front 4 pot (works with OEM rear, maintaining bias) 300mm ish (16" fit) rear (race only, no handbrake) We are part way into making the first few: 330mm ish (17" fit) front 4 pot (works with OEM caliper Big...

Re: Big brake kits - which one for a track car?

Just to clarify, are you guys all talking 17" wheels or other sizes? And 4 pot front with 2 or 4 pot rear plus non-Toyota handbrake?

Re: Big brake kits - which one for a track car?

Will you ever be making this sort of kit with a handbrake? So we can do away with the standard calipers all together? I'd be right up for that. Along with allot bells, etc. I'd love to get rid of the slider rears too! Maybe a little secondary handbrake caliper like you see on some cars? -----------...

Re: Big brake kits - which one for a track car?

Keri I have the supra / RX8 group buy set up, will your front caliper upgrade match up with that? The idea is we're creating a range of upgrades around the Supra/RX8 discs: - Our own F+R Supra/RX8 BBKs using the OEM Rev2 calipers - A front 4 pot kit on the Supra disc (will upgrade existing people's...

Re: Big brake kits - which one for a track car?

(I haven't got the numbers for the new/due soon Supra front disc 4-pot / RX8 rear disc OEM caliper setup, I can do them if you like?) Keri- when are you likely to have this set up available? We're waiting for the caliper we're using in this kit to arrive so we can move forward, ought to be a couple...

Re: Big brake kits - which one for a track car?

The way we approach it is to make sure that for a given line pressure, each wheel's brakes give the same (or very close) the standard amount of torque, allowing the vast majority of people to retain the standard master cylinder and bias valve etc. Or course if people want more front or rear bias the...

Sorry for the slow reply guys... Will you be doing the alloy bells/rotors for your front kit? Stock rears? I'd be interested! :thumleft: That's the plan... Hi, Sorry for possibly a silly question, but just trying to understand your options. The front and rear prototype options listed: In p...

Re: Brake Wizzard?

I wonder if there's a sticky caliper or pad - it'll get very hot, and can then boil the fluid in that one caliper = soft pedal, funny smell and no brakes.

Re: Fitting braided brake lines, quick question..

We get our lines made by Earls, Goodridge used to be their UK dealer but Earls then set up properly in the UK for themselves. Not really sure if Earls still supply Goodridge but the fittings look the same to me! HEL stuff is cheaper but they do things like use plastic line guides, or no line guides,...

Krutis, is this a track only car (never used on the road)?

We have a range of options that could help in any case, what exact wheels have you got?

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Rev1 rear wheels on rev3

You could fit Rev 1 wheels and discs and calipers to a Rev 2 if you wanted to.......not that you WOULD want to!? #-o  To be fair the Rev 1 brakes are lighter, so on a BUDGET drag race or short hill climb car (where the brakes are not used to the point they overheat) putting them on a Rev 2 ...
