It's possible, depending on demand! It would be an increase in cost due to the larger discs and the need for the larger T30x caliper.

There's a sneaky slab of foam inside the rear bumper that can be ditched I think? :D

Ok, so what comes with your kits, can you put some photos of the disks up please Have a look at the link to affiliates in my sig, but here are what you get in the kit, both versions (296x28 and 298.5x18). Pads and lines are extra. http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/kk159/keri-wms/4P018/WMS-800x600-...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Wilwood Brake Upgrade Kit. Advice please.

It's true that that Wilwood kit will increase your front bias. However that's NOT true of all kits, in fact we designed one version of our kit to work perfectly with the Rev 2 rear brakes - AND we did a version to work with the Rev 1 rear brakes as well! Attention to detail when designing a proper ...

Re: WMS Brakes-> AW11 4 pot brake kit: £505.00+vat (also 2.5% or 5% IMOC discounts!)

I'm pondering releasing a 2-pot front kit for the Mk1! It uses the AW11b 258mm front discs and fits under the 14" AW11 front wheels (I don't have a 13" one to play with yet). The Lotus Elise uses a similar 2-pot front caliper with a pad that's approx 77x50x14 (38cm/2 ish). The WMS T10 pad ...

Thanks Vincent! Re: Wilwood brake conversion...??

A few points: - We spent a lot of time making sure there is a matched WMS front setup for every rear setup type, the balance is NOT wrong with a WMS kit. (I can't speak for that Wilwood kit!) - OEM calipers and Carbotech pads work well when the calipers are in good condition, but WMS kits are far, f...

Re: Dreaded insurance quote...

I'm sorted, just in time (and I'll get a free fluffy Meerkat  )! Flux took the funds 4 days (3 working days) before the renewal date - I always forget and get them to refund me and get fined by the bank if I'm not on the ball. #-o ...I don't really think it's on so I've left them after 11 y...

The bore is wrong so they won't locate properly without custom machining and/or rings etc.

Re: Brake pad topic to sum up all other brake pad topics

EBC Red (Very Fast Road / Trackday) is a very good all-rounder, in between Green (Fast Road) and Yellow (race technically). Up from EBC in price is Ferodo, DS2500 is road/trackday and DS3000 is race. Start paying loads of cash and you have Carbotech and Pagid....but for the money these cost over a y...

I still want to do this - but I can't justify a batch just so I can get WMS 4 pots under 15" wheels on my own car...

I'm feeling underwhelmed!

Ok, I think I can see what you are getting at now - you'll have to excuse my noob questions as I have never used a big brake kit before. No problem! Are you saying it's not really possible to do a controlled test stopping distance comparison of say 60mph to 0 in x feet (eg. as per my MX5 vs MR2 com...
