didn;t think the "lens" came off - it's a sealed unit - or not in your case :lol:

the screws that generally rust and make it impossible to remove - are there for just that - installation and maybe removal - if you are lucky :mrgreen:

My own personal experience of Dave was a good one.. he helped me out via the phone when i hd an issue regarding another bodyshop. He talked me through teh process of teh repair i was having done as the bodyshop had mucked it up and were backing out of responsibilty. Dave PM'd me offering free advice...

you have to do a serious amount of work to the chassis to get a 3SGTE lump in a Mk3 (unless you put it on the passenger seat :clown: ) just ask Rogue :thumleft:.... so to answer your Q...... Community Chest ..your mate knows nothing about cars so go past "GO" and collect £20 :thumleft: pic...

regarding the skirts... if you don't bond them you will be using self tapping screws...

...nice holes left behind if you then want to remove later :eye:

FINALLY ! Jim you won;t be dissapointed.. the base map is only there to get the car running... (ie to get it to a mappers and start mapping). if it had no map at all - you would only be able to let the mapper fit it, unless you had a trailer. mine (when i had an MR2 :cry: ) was only on the base map...
