Re: I've made a boo boo..

yeah sorry; to test the clutch you need the revs at max torque.... drive at about 65ish and plant it.... the clutch (if good) should grip!

sounds though you'll be fine!

Re: T-bar turbo vs tin top

you all are making this leak out as if its some waterfall... you get a drop every few seconds when driving (if that); and even less when its parked up!... dont let the leak put you off buying a t-bar. Agree with Lauren on handeling; most drivers wouldnt notice really! go on buy the t-bar.... since l...

Re: I've made a boo boo..

Yep you've shortened the life of your clutch. Put it on a motorway at about 2.5k - 3k revs in 5th gear- plant the loud pedal to the floor; if revs rise quicker than speed then thats a sign of clutch slipping. If its okay and pulls true then you'll be fine but you have shortened its life span!

Re: Headlight!!

it could be catching somewhere; maybe have a look at the black plastic trim arount the light to see if its catching the bumper or bonnet? what you can do is turn the adjuster at the back fully; the light should drop and lift again (reset) if it does then its probably catching somewhere... try using ...

i would say it needs tracking & aligning. you can knock the tracking out by mounting a pavement sometimes. Does it shake at motorway speeds?

Re: How to get the correct value of a car after write off.

oooh bad luck there fella. But yes, you have to prove your car is worth more by showing the real adverts of a car in equivalent condition (before the accident). They will then up the offer depending on your proof!

good luck anyway.

Re: I am going to set fire to my car "I need help PLEASE!!!

if the starters sticking it can also make that clicking sound. Usually means a replacement. If checking the wiring etc doesnt work try hitting it a few times. I dont know where it is on the MR2 but i had a similar problem with a corolla once and knocking the starter helped it work (for a very short ...

top marks for effort but to me it looks as if someones puked on it! flames and stuff like that remind me of those american butch Harley riders with tattoos and stuff...... it would be good is someone say airbrushed an image of another car onto another car.... i.e. airbrush an MR2 onto a 355! thats just barmy- i dont think he's found a gap in the market; anyone who is confident enough to do a diagnostic check on the car will be wise enough to make such "tools" as and when required.... IMO. But you cant knock him for trying!

looks like the Veilside to me (nice spolier). I like his arch extensions... if smoothed in and with fatter wheels that would look really good. Any one know if you can buy these???

sorry for the slight hi-jack bud!

Re: wheel dilemma

there shouldnt be a gap between the wheel and the hub (PCD muct be correct). If the bolts are tight then the gap would close IYSWIM. The thing that makes them a wrong match is the bore sizes for which you need plastic circular things (Spriggots).

not sure what you mean about the gap though :-k
