Re: [All] [Generic] Hello again
thanks lads.... i guess what i missed the most was the driving position & the 2 seats! really wanted another tubby (had a brillant black rev 3 GT) but i have to keep the beemer as it has 4 doors & its brilliant at clocking up the mileage. as this is the weekend sort of car (any excuse really...

[All] [Generic] Hello again
hello again fellow IMOC'ers. i was an old member on here before for some time; had 2 MR2 ( red na & a black tubby) before but then the scamera man took a liking to my driving so in order to protect my licence i moved on... had various cars since and currently drive a BMW 530d. Great car for what...

Re: snow your views
I live in a very hilly village/town so most people (ones with sense) avoid driving if their cars aren't upto it. I can stand outside my house and watch cars getting stuck, smacking parked cars all day long... (ive had 3 car written off outside my house since the 9 yrs ive lived here). I once saw thi...

Interesting views! But if a person is driving around in a replica 355; does it matter that he's lying to everyone around him? The only people who should genuinley be upset are actual 355 owners.... these replica's must have de-valued them somewhat!... but who cares how the rich feel :) I cant see no...

Re: insurance cat writeoff question
From my understanding its MORE hassle for the insurance company to take it on as they have to pass it onto a salvage yard who will give them a fixed nominal sum. I thought insurance compaines will offer you the car to buy back at around the same nominal value which isnt alot really. They wont decide...

Leave the poor lass alone!!! Nah; i would do what Toni has said; then if you dont get a response in say 7 days; send a knocked up official looking solicitors letter (as suggested)saying that you intend to file a claim at the local small claims court (find out the closest one in brighton/blackburn).....

okay buy the car back and strip it for parts.
with regards to the offer; reject it and send them ads for similar cars that are selling for around £5k.
they always offer less but if you can prove that they are worth more then they will pay more; just takes a little time
good luck

i thought it was when the belts had to be done 100,000km roughly= 60k miles???

Re: [Mk2 ] Crossing fords (not the cars)
slightly off on a tangent but you know as we get more flooded roads here than we used to before, what is the best way to cross them??? what do you have to watch for??? is it mainly water getting in through the exhaust system??? or something else as well? or do you you just cross and hope for the best?

no it's all legal, you aren't forced into a race you do it by choice. one of the reasons i don't "race" strangers, just have harmless fun with mates sometimes (very rarely now though) they have another trap were they leave a car unlocked or an easy target and rig the car to remote control...

You will have a CF bootlid (if the GB is sorted)... a CF (or even a CF look-alike) rev3 centre panel might look really good... need to photoshop it really!
but forget the rest... that rear fog is ugly dude... we need a poll on that and best position for it????
i vote the bin!
