hi everyone

i have a mk2 g limited 158bhp and gave my mate whos got a 92 2.3 prelude a little race down the motorway(of course inside the speed limit). and i couldnt pull away from him. does anyone think theres any performance probs with my car does that sound about right?

probably about right although the prelude 2.2vtec is better and would have got ahead easily as it does the 0-60mph sprint in 6.5secs i believe

ok then thanks, its bog standard at the moment so do u think a few mods would help or wouldnt i really feel the difference?

no not on an NA you could do a few things to make it smoother but unless a mod is a turbo conversion then you won't notice much maybe a bit better responce :mrgreen:

I had a 2.2 vtec JDM with 205 bhp (after a few mods). Yep 0-62 in 6.7 secs. Fastest car I have owned to date.
The 2.3 has a very torquey engine...even more torque than the vtec IIRC.
so yep that would be right mate. :wink:

I suppose if you had the money a nice exhaust, unichip and a tune would be slightly advantageous!? But then again, wonder how much that would cost..... Not cheap. :P

if you'd have raced the 2.2 vetec you'd probably have lost, i'd imagine the 2.3 is pretty even to the n/a mr2

so what sort of bhp would a exhaust chip and tune would i get?
