I may have organised a GB for a Border Style Bonnet :mrgreen:

I initially said for 10 bonnets but I know that there may be more people who want them. I can wait as it'll give me more time to save up more cash for other bits :thumleft:

Before I go any further, the seller is this guy (click on the pic)...

Has anyone has any dealings with this seller? I emailed them this afternoon to ask about a possible GB and they got back quickly saying a 15% discount on the price. This takes it down from £595 to £505.75. I was then cheeky enough to mail back asking if it would be easier to do it for £500 plus £40 postage :whistle: I await a reply.

Before anyone asks about fitment, I havn't got a clue, but he sells plenty of stuff so it can't be bad.

For it to go well I'd need people not to mess around. Sorry if this sounds harsh but if I've got 9 people on a list of 10 and then in a months time they go and blow the money as it's burning a hole in their pocket it could screw it up for everyone.

THIS COULD TAKE A FEW MONTHS TO FINALISE!!!

As mentioned, this is organised for a minimum of 10 definites, but if we can get more I'll see if he'll give us more discount \:D/

ok.

Got them for £500 plus £40 postage within the UK. That's a saving of £104 people 8) for a 10 bonnet order.

I mailed back to ask if the seller would do more discount on more hoods and also showed them the thread that shows the seller doing the Seibon OEM bonnets for silly money so they may reconsider the cost.

Id be interested, from what i can see vis racing is an associate of wings west, so i would expect them to be a good fit. Il keep my eye on this and see how it goes.

Nope :thumleft: because I've been there, done that my friend! :mrgreen: I was looking at getting the same bonnet from cali, but my mate who runs a tuning garage said import tax would make it around £600 if it was all qouted correctly (as in, the seller didn't mark a huge giant flat box as a "GIFT". he said it's not worth it with something so big as the customs guys will just open it (which they're entitled to do - says so on the customs and excise website) and see what it is then charge the buyer the extra when they find out how much it is and also probably fine the buyer for tax evasion or some 5hit :?

he sells the carbon boot for 595.

another guy on ebay, in uk

330.

im sure if we ask the guy in the uk, you want this type of bonnet,

they will make.

for 400 motes etc

i was refering to the boot they make.

so im sure they can offer a bonnet cheaper than 600

i have a known uk based supplier who i have contacted, they should be able to get circa 400-500 delivered.

I've been looking at VIS (I'm sure it was UK website!!) link below - ebay.

I've been eyeing up a bonnet for past couple of months.

On the web site they also had:
>carbon engine lid
>carbon bonnet (as above)
>carbon boot lid...

..funnily enough - all for £595 + 45 delivery. Dont know if these are the same people you've been talking too..?

could be a couple of hard months saving!! I'll let you know, very keen, but I wont put name down just yet.

If you suddenly get all ten names for your list though in the next couple of weeks any chance you could pm me to keep me informed - you might force my wallet..

So just to clarify.. on exactly what the deal is..

..if we got more than x10 - could you haggle the price down even further??
