silkolene pro oil

Post by iwantoneofthose »

Would anyone be interested in a group buy on silkolene oil??

a mate of mine works for fuchs the manufacturer of silkolene and he has managed to organise a group buy on pro s and pro r oils for the mkiii supra club and has said i can offer the same deal to IMOC =D>

silkolene pro s 5w-40 @ £5.20+vat per litre (5 litre can) = £30.55

silkolene pro s 10w-50 @ £5.20+vat per litre (5 litre can) = £30.55

silkolene pro r 15w-50 @ £4.75+vat per litre (5 litre can) = £27.90

I paid £41.99 all in from Opie oils for 5l of Pro S 5W 40 in August, including IMOC discount.

Happy to pay that though - Guy's made some brilliant posts on here regarding the best oil for your MR2 and why.

I'd say support Opie rather than try to undercut them, but that's me.

I use Opie myself so I'm not trying to be all negative - but Guy's "brilliant" posts are mostly marketing guff copied around the 100s of forums opie advertise on (I've seen the same posts on at least 6 forums and on the Opie "club" login you can see just how many they let have "discount". It's a great business idea, but I don't think anything he's posted is unique to IMOC.

opie oils prices are closer to the RRP which is around £50 but they offer p&p free and extra discount to members which is a good deal.

this is in no way an attempt to undercut opie oils, this is just a chance for members to save money in a group buy!!

these prices are almost 40% OFF the RRP  i know this is without postage so members within my local area will save more than those that need it posted.

Why would it be exclusive to IMOC? Its not oil engineered specifically for MR2's! The theory of oil degradation and its properties don't change across different owners clubs so why not copy and paste - don't understand what you're trying to get at :?

The information Opie oils shares is very interesting and I'm sure 100% accurate. I've personally noticed a massive difference between Silkolene Pro-S and other supposedly good fully syns - most of the latter really are marketing scams and the oil is inferior in comparison.

well these come in boxes of 4x5ltr bottles so as long as there is a multiple of 4 wanted then any number of people are welcome.

im still looking into getting resonable postage prices and will update when i get them.

as a 5ltr bottle weighs about 5Kg postage will be:

1 bottle = £8.74 with royal mail
1 box of 4 bottles (also if buying 2/3 bottles) = £11.74 with parcels2go

if anyone can get a better price let me know please...

So 4, 5 litre bottles of the pro would be £133.94 to the door?

yes :D

thats £122.20p for 4bottles of pro s oil and £11.74p post+pack = £133.94p

or £111.60p for 4bottles of pro r oil and £11.74p post+pack = £123.34p

you dont have to buy 4 bottles at a time i just need multiples of 4 within the group
