IMOC Flyers

Post by michael »

I keep seeing MR2s parked up but never have a piece of paper or pen on me to leave them a note regarding this site - it would be nice to have some wallet sized IMOC flyers for members to download and print out.

PDF format, full sheet of A4 with maybe 12 "business cards" to cut out?

Yep, its something I'd been meaning to sort out once the new Merchandise is done.

Do you fancy having a go making up a A4 PDF with business cards on that people could cut out ?

I'm happy to have a dabble but I was hoping someone talented might take up the challenge and incorporate the new logo :)

Ah go on - give it a wirl :) If you need high res copies of the new logo, let me know - but you'd probably get away with pinching the one from the site masthead.

Which one where? If you mean the one the IMOC-UK is spelt out in, for text on the card you could probably get away with Arial?

I was asking about the font used in the logo, Arial didn't seem to look right.

How were you thinking of doing the cards? You should be able to re-use the logo OK, but I'd go for some plain text on the cards ?

Logo with a simple message and URL underneath, nothing fancy at all - I just wanted the font to be the same as that used in the logo so it doesn't look like a half-ar$ed attempt.

Even the logo with a full length 'www.imoc.co.uk' would be enough really - it would just look better in the same font IMO.

Mark has an 'MR2 font' IIRC, I can see if its available for general use?

OK, I see what you mean. Let me see what I can find out.

in the meanwhile, do you want to have a go at a prototype using the Arial font? We can swap it over for the correct font for the final product.

I already have the MR2 font - I'll try and get hold of Dave to see what he used for the logo...

Has this been arranged yet ? - my friend is a member of SXOC (200sx owners club) and they have great success in attracting new members this way - people often thank him when they find the site as a result of the flyer - they didn't even know SXOC existed.

I would love to have these in my glovebox ready to "spread the word" :D

IIRC Mark was rather annoyed when people re-used his font (that he took a lot of time to do) without his permission. Still, I can't see why that would bother you. However given that it is for an IMOC flyer I very much doubt he'd have a problem with it being used. Especially if you actually ask him first.

When I said I would see if it was available, I meant I would ask Mark! Since I know him fairly well there's no way I'd do anything else.
Sorted now anyway.
