Apexi power fc on rev2

Post by nutter »

Anyone running the rev 3 power fc on a rev2? If so how much did it cost in total, including all replacement sensors, rewiring etc. Also how much did it cost to map it when it was fitted?

thanks

I have a rev 2 FC which required just about everything the rev 3 one does;

Power FC, datalogit, IAT sensor and GM map sensor - 600 quid (second hand)

Rev 3 ignitor - cost to feed JJ

The rewiring is fairly straight forward for the rev 3 to rev 2 car.

cool. thanks m8. Do you know anything about Link engine managment? I'm torn between that and the power fc. The link seems to do everything the power fc does, plus it can map water injection. Any thoughts on these two??

thanks

Dean

BTW Wolfkatz got a replacement set of fuel rail bolts to me in 4 days! Thinking i may now need some 850cc injectors thou :(

The list will never end dean ! :D

Don't forget about a fuel pressure regulator, higher flowing fuel pump !

850s at stock pressure should see quite a few ponies Dean :) Do change the fuel pump though.

Link ... they do a Link Plus unit or something which is their best one. Not sure if it can control your aircon though

Could be worth trying talking to Thor - I believe they have mapped an MR2 with a LINK

what about rev 1s though? everyone seems to list for rev 2 and rev 3 on but never mention rev1. what are the diffs in wiring between 1 and 2?

when having my unichip fitted i was told some early rev1's had different boost control wiring and boost could not be 'sorted' by ECU means, didn't matter for me as my engines a rev2, so there are differences, at least for 'early' cars.
