removal of immobiliser - mk 2

Post by Mista Weava »

the immobiliser is immobilising at random! it is also cocking the central locking up.

i want to remobe it as i have told the insurers that it does not have either an immobiliser of alarm anyway.

for the time being i have removed the fuse that operates stereo, interior lights, clock lights and i think reversing lights. the car starts with this removed and once is running can be replaced so that everything functions as normal. if the car is stopped, it must be removed again in order for it to rer-start.

any ideas of getting around this rather tiresome problem?

i had considered putting and inline switch from the dash somewhere, to the particular fuse terminal, thus allowing for it to be switchable and thus retaining the functionality of the above features. this is certainly not the most satisfactory way of gettig around the problem.
HELP!
