LOL!

Give us a chance mate, was the first time on the 1/4 mile and I was tired, my reactions were fine it was the turbo lag, <insert other excuses here> ...

:P

Going to get my Unichip mapped in a weeks time then a few other choice bits going on :) Cheers for the comments tho.

Its all good mate :D The idea is you step off the clutch on the last amber....but i see in one of the vids you have a pro tree which is all amber and then green, on those you step off the clutch when the amber starts to go out :)

Tried that, resulted in wheelspin. The ground isnt great at Crail as its an old WW2 disused air field thats been used as a drag strip for 5 years but they arent allowed to fix it up as its protected ground. Strange but true. Hence rolling a bit then booting it. Hopefully in complete dry and with tyre pressure dropped a bit I'll get more traction!

Best of the day was a 13.8 so quite chuffed with that as its not running with a full map and the only other performance mods are an exhaust and downpipe.

LOL, there was loud music mixed with the PA system so no point. Love it when the red 2 does a spin and gets into position then I come in with no back boxes or silencers :D

In the instructions for York dragway, its says to go on the last amber coz your reactions will never be quick enough to do a false start.

I was quite nervous about it all to be honest! The first one I flufed up completely with the 300zx and I was spinning for a bit then let off and went again thats why it appears in front but Im catching. It was the same for the rest but I kept dropping the revs down and on the last one I launched at about 2500 but it still spun a bit then went. You can see it with the yella GT4.

I've now got the bug and will be back in a couple of weeks if the weather is better to give it another bash, by then with the Unichip all mapped properly!

On the sound of the car, well here is why it sounds so meaty :

No boxes or silencers at all and the downpipe is completely cleared too.

Some people love the sound some hate it :D

I just looked at your profile and it says you've got no silencers or boxes. Isn't that a bit loud?

I thought you'd just get pulled over by the coppers with no exhaust on, noise limits n stuff?? :?:

Touch wood, havent been pulled over. It is loud but only really loud when I gun it.

The turbo itself acts like a silencer but when its spinning it sounds awesome.

Yes the general limit to be under is 98db driveby for places like Donny.

For Elvington and Anglesey the limit is 105db, so he could still do trackdays but not at many circuits.

But in saying that if there are no silencers to speak of its likely that it'll be well over 105db.

I'll be the neighbours love it! ;)
