Is this possible?

Post by Andrew Edwards »

I have the opportunity to get a 2nd head unit for peanuts from my sister. i would install this underneath my current one. Does anyone know how to go about fitting 2 DIN size units in the MR2 mK2 dash? Do i need a part from autoleads or similar?
Wiring is not a problem, just need to know whether it will physically fit

I don't see why you can't mount two units in there. When I fitted a single DIN into my previous tubby I had a choice of which 'slot' to use, but this was a due to a bracket I bought from Rogue at the time so have no idea if it was a standard MR2 part or one from another Toyota.

The wiring of two head units will be fun. I turned grey overnight doing mine, as the previous owner totally screwed the wiring, and I've seen tidier cat's cradles.
Mk2 NA Rev1 -*- Mk2 Turbo Rev2 -*- Mk1 NA -*- Mk2 Turbo Rev 3 = all gone!
