Tein Coilover Leaking - Refurb or buy?

Post by Ralliart »

My rev3 turbo has a set of Tein HA coilovers fitted and I noticed today one was leaking slightly. I am wondering is there a company that can re-build them or anyone know where i can buy a single one from as the other 3 are fine.

I believe tein themselves will rebuild a strut for you they are very expensive though.

Give them a call, They are located in Bletchely Milton Keynes.

Rang them. They said because of the age and they have to order parts from Japan and can take around 5-6 weeks.
So i'm thinking of getting a replacement front stock suspension and sending the Tein to them and see how they get on unless I see a set of used ones or anyone has some for sale..?

Depending on what you can afford i'd be looking at getting a new set of coilovers because getting old ones repaired is expensive.

Perhaps a new set of BC BR coilovers :) they are very good

They are about £800 new.

Then you don't run the risk of say the other front on your 8 year old coilovers starting to leak
