The Luke Bliss Annual Memorial - 7th July 2019

Post by Driftlimits Performance »

As many of you know we hold an annual memorial event in honour of Luke Bliss at our track in Hertfordshire.

WHAT IS THE EVENT? - This is an open invite car meet held in memory of IMOC member and MR2 Enthusiast Luke Bliss who sadly passed away in March 2018. Luke ran an MR2 Specialist Garage called Pacific Works which later became Drift Limits Performance and he was a hugely passionate petrol head. The format of the event is a relaxed informal car meet allowing the chance to view cars that Luke worked on, some of the Drift Limits fleet and any other modified, performance or generally interesting vehicles you choose to bring with you. There will parade laps of the Drift Limits circuit in honour of Luke. Last year's event was great and we hope to see as many cars attending if not more so please put the date in your diary and spread the word! All are welcome.

WHEN IS THE EVENT? - 7th July 11.00am - 4.00pm

WHERE IS THE EVENT? - We are holding the event at the Drift Limits Track:

Address:

Drift Limits
Runways Farm
Upper Bourne End Lane
Hemel Hempstead
Herts
HP1 2RR

This year we are hoping to unveil Luke's MR2 which his brother Julian has been working tirelessly to complete over the past year.

Many of you have seen sneak peaks of this car throughout the years, as I am sure you all know Luke could never make his mind up and had numerous colour choices, body kits and plans for the interior of the car so Julian has had a nightmare trying to decide between all of Luke's options to make the car what he feels Luke would have wanted.

The event is open to all and we hope to see many of you there, it really does mean a lot to see so many MR2's that Luke has worked on over the years.

** As this event is held on a Sunday with special local council permission we ask that anyone attending respects our neigbours by driving sensibly when close to the venue and when at it and also note that when we perform the parade laps, these are done at a slow speed with no showing off **

I was quite upset not to be able to attend last year's. I'll be there this time!

Hi all,

just a quick post to remind you that this event is taking place on the 7th July.

All welcome, you do not have to have an MR2. Come along and see some amazing cars including the new Drift Limits Ferrari 458 Challenge Race Car at a lovely venue with a very relaxed atmosphere. Feel free to invite friends and bring the family. Refreshments will be available to buy and we are hoping for another scorching day.

Also, if any of you could help spread the word via your social media accounts etc, that would be fantastic.

Many thanks

Ollie

Great turnout for this event on Sunday, pictures to follow. Luke's car was unveiled, it looked amazing and bought a tear to my eye. He would have been very proud.

Thanks to everyone for coming.

Thanks to TCB (Toyota Parts Specialists) for making the long trip from Cornwall. Your support is admirable. http://www.tcbparts.co.uk/

Thanks

I've got an album to upload - will there be a separate thread for photos etc, or shall I just post them as a reply here?
