Changed ECU now I’m back too KMPH?

Post by timmomr2 »

Evening all,

So after 5 and a half years stuck in storage my car is back on the road. After some fettling it seems to be working fine.

I ended up needing to put in a new ECU (standard) since doing so my speedo now seems to be reading in KMPH. Is this unusual or does it make sense and if so how do I convert it back to MPH. (Rev 3 turbo by the way)

Thanks

The ecu has no effect on the speedo reading.

maybe the converter on the back of the dials is dead?

The system sends speed direct from the gearbox to the dials, then on to the power steering ecu and the engine ecu.

I thought that was the case, I'll investigate further then it has been off the road for a long time so not the end of the world.

Thanks
