Forge Day Castle Combe 8th september

Post by markstevieandmads »

Any interest in doing this ? Loads of clubs already listed and its £15 for the day.
If enough interest, would someone be willing to organise a club area?

Cheers

Ive looked into it and seems easy enough to organise myself.

Will be similar to jdmcombe setup.

Anyone interested stick your name down here so i can get some numbers then when i apply i will pm the club code so they can then get their own tickets which is £15 per car

Im very disappointed in the response to this.

Imoc and oc was such a good community but it all seems to be going the way of fb now which is a shame as forums are a great source of info.

I can only put it down to more and more mr2s being broken and owners moving on to more modern cars.

Tell me about it.

I organised the OC/IMOC stand at JDMCombe last year.
There were 15 cars of which 4 were from here.
This year there were 16 cars but only 1 from here.

ISTM that many people only ever look at Faceache for their 'fix' now.
They simply don't bother to check anywhere else.

This subject came up in conversation today at Simply Jap at Beaulieu.
The other reasons you mention are definitely a factor
Last time I went to JAE (flying visit in 2016) it seemed that nearly half the cars on the IMOC stand were GT86s...

Are you sure? Can't see anything about a closing date on the Combe website.
They have a heck of a lot of unsold track time slots atm.

:?: Weird that you can't post to the thread you started there.

I'll bump it for you. Your fellow South Westerners seem to be keeping a low profile of late.

Atm I have a very early start the following day, so doing both is a bridge too far.
I'm not in a position to make that choice just yet.
