Carbon Fibre Interior?**NEW PICS ADDED** Page 2

What is happening about the carbon fibre interior group buy?

I'm still really up for it, just it all seems to have gone very quiet!? I thought it would be the first thing under this forum!?

Every piece of plastic trim on the dash. Initial quote was 180 - 200, but that was a shot in the dark. Its taken a good few months longer of R&D to get this far.

ok... little bit of an update.

The guy doing it is down with flu at the mo, so has been unable to get near the stuff due to fumes.

But he has confirmed a few things. The window switch panels will be an overly instead of a complete piece. This is due to the complexity of the switch attachments, connections etc on the underside of the piece. It could have been done from free formed pieces, but that would make the cost somewhat silly. All you'll see on the interior is the carbon bit.

Its still the ignition surround panel that is causing grief, but he'll cantinue to try different methods to ensure the best outcome.

Will update as and when I get the info.

To be honest mate I don't think I'm taking names at the mo. Once we've got the full kit to check for fitment and quality, we'll open up a brand new thread to take names, and give a firm price.

Till then I'd just keep checking back for updates.

I've really got to chase this guy. Once again, sorry to everyone for my lack of updates. I've not had the best luck of getting hold of him when I actually remember to call him.

Will have something this week.

Ok I called him last night.

I should have a few bits this week to trial fit on my missus car. I'll obviously upload as many pics as I can.

I asked about the rest of the parts, and some are still causing problems. But new approaches are being taken. He's talked me through the process (roughly) and I can see why it would be a complete PITA to do. But all this waiting should be worth it!

Fingers crossed I'll have something by the end of the week. Will keep this thread updated as and when I have info.
