problem with my car after a bad trader worked on my car... does anyone know him

Post by QUOC2008 »

I meet a trader at drift limits where me and my misses was getting a lesson in drifting by trader... he said he was a mr2 specialist. I told him cool i got a rev 3 turbo... i like the guy. So i decided to trust him to remap my car n some minor works...

Ps. i had the car for 2 year already no problem or noises or oil leaks at all... had a gearbox change to a c1 gearkit as the old 1 broke my fault.

These are the picture of wat damage a trader in herts... he a cowboy... just dont want any other people to get bumped by him. Does anyone know him his garage is
In a farm with steel gates... closed to the public

I bought my mr2 turbo rev3 with fully forged engine. Mint no issues at all.

I asked the trader to do some jobs

1. Remapp for more low end power and less turbo lag map.Luke recommend removal of hks cams and adjustable pulleys to standard one???
very bad job damaged whole engine now engine has to be totally replaced and old one is unusable...
2. Install new radiator I supplied done ok
3. Install new better intercooler hard pipe for better air flow. Did not ask to reuse my old ones but he did... Bad job
4. Stop radiator fan from running all the time. Done ok
5. Check alternator and electrics for any bad wiring. Done no problems found.

At the time I had the car there was no oil leaks and or knocking noisy engine sounds ever... list goes on

0. Oil leak from crank seal. Sensor and valve seals.
1. Mapped to 1.5bar boost damage over boosted its only a ct20 turbo
2. Stolen or replaced racing arp head bolts was replaced with standard head bolts by luke he never mention.?
3. engine Valve seal all broken
4. noisy engine...Got it checked out
5. Engine had damage to head. holes and bits of metal rolling around in oil from cam shaft install. Dont ask me how dust aswell...
6. Big end , thrust, main bearing and crankshaft scored and damaged
7. He Recommend taking out hks racing cams and pulleys to standard cams and pulleys to gain more torque He said it would increase more torque but loss 8lb of torqueLoss of over 50bhp... The standard cams and pulleys where worn and damaged. The was running 364bhp and 321 lb torque, after the trader had it it came back with 313bhp and 313 lb torque. Dyno to proof this...
8. Cut up my branded greedy hard pipe n intercooler where he cut them up and custom welded them together very badly made with 90degree bend very bad air flow design.
9. Car was very dirty when I came to collect. Found out reason was because trader left scratches around the car new paint work was only a year old was dirty so that hind all the scratches... at the time of collection
10. Avoided my calls many time and never called backText him aswell no reply.
11. He said he would email me a receipt because he didnt have any receipt book... never did and still hasn't...

This will be my one and only reply to this matter.

Firstly the work was carried out a year ago, and the aim was to provide a better street car.

There has been no effort in the last 9 months to contact me.

Initially, when the car was brought to me, it was running 1.4bar on a hybrid ct20b, with forged pistons, and HKS 264 cams.

It was 'believed' to be 400bhp by the owner, which we always have had doubts about.

The HKS cams were removed for rev4 turbo cams, which provide the car with a lovely amount of torque low down, perfect for a street car. Sometimes a shopping list of parts does not create a good engine.

An Aftermarket radiator was fitted, an intercooler cold pipe, and an investigation into a charging fault.

The car was then remapped by Ryan @ 2Bar tuning. He maps all our cars for the last ten years. The boost was kept at 1.25 bar, as any increase saw an increase in heat, and no extra power.

The result was reduced bhp and a significant increase in torque. Not great for 'pub talk' but good if you know what makes a good road car.

The accusation of stealing your transmission and ARP headbolts is pure make believe. They were never there. Make sure you know the facts before accusing peoples businesses of wrong doing. The next people may not take it so lightly.

Which leads me onto my next point, Unfortunately, when you purchased the car from Xxxx you were led to believe it had all sorts of aftermarket parts, which quite clearly were never there.

There were no ARP headbolts, and no aftermarket transmission. I can also tell I did not install those headbolts as my match marks are not there. Every single headbolt I've ever torqued gets matchmarks.

I suspect the head was not fully rebuilt hence the leaking valve seals. The worn bearings and engine internals is clearly wear. Oil leaks do develop, nothing here can be associated with work we've done.

I sympathise with you, and I too would be upset, however your anger is directed in the wrong place.

Our garage is located on a industrial estate/ex farm, and does have very large steel gates, which can only be opened by me with my phone. There is also ANPR, day/night time cameras, and Rottweilers. It is off the beaten path, as none of our business relies on passing traffic. It is the safest place I know.

I hope you have more luck in the future.

wheres my invoice luke

Post by QUOC2008 »

Ok if all what you are saying is true why have you not given me a reciept or invoice for the works... still to this day you havnt sent me a invoice or reciept

If Xxxx did do these things and fake alots of stuff on the car i would of found out after driving it for 2 year.

I wouldnt be giving you a hard time if these things happen a few of months or years later... trust me i got alot of better thing to do with my time.

But you know what i said on the day... the engine doesnt sound right rattling and noisey... gearbox felt light and loose... you said you adjusted it?

Your a very silly feller i would of have spent £ thousands with you tuning and building the car up to a good standard price is no object to me...

Now all i want is my invoice/reciept
