Is there any benefit of having these of stock engine lids? Better cooling etc?

Ahh but because the rear has an elevated vent, none if that rain water drips into the alternator etc so everything keeps cleaner for longer!

If I had a stock turbo lid, I wouldn't have bothered paying £150 for a recon alternator lol.

Plus when you have twin engine fans you can feel all that heat pushed out, so for me it does aid cooling :thumleft:

As well as looking cool

Sorry for the delay mate!

I've pm'd Ben at Carbon fibre creations to get an idea on prices for this group buy! Just waiting a response now mate

Vivid Racing sell their Carbon Fibre Phoenix Power style engine lid for circa $560 and thats not inc shipping from the USA!

Then factor shipping across the water to Blighty and Customs charges, then praying it arrives in one piece, I'd much prefer to buy a good quality one from Ben \:D/

Hopefully Ben will post up as soon as he has crunched the numbers

That`s cool. My twin engine bay fans are very visible with the stock raised vent turbo lid, crud gets in there and rainwater a you say, so that`s sold me on the idea. :thumleft:

Beats putting a plastic sheet over the engine bay to stop all the heavy downpours soaking your engine bay, through the engine fans and stops all that rain soaking and rusting/seizing your alternator :thumleft:
