safe boost level on rev2

Post by SimonPearse »

I have just got round to fitting a grainger valve and FCD to my rev2. I've also disabled the TVIS by blanking the wastegate capsule port. What is generaly reckoned to be a safe boost level?
Due to a split hose, on my first test run I had an overboost to about 1.25 bar in 2nd gear on a straight, flat, but damp road, and for those following the ohlins thread I can confirm that thay are indeed quite good when drifting.

With no other mods i would say 14-15psi is the max you want to run. Anything over that and you really need a decent i/c
